Wow, so many more fantastic ideas!!!

I still need to get started - there's so many I don't know where to start to be honest!

I'd like to make some home made Xmas Tree decorations I think for next years gift hampers for the family - they should be fairly small projects to do, so think I'll give that a go!
  • I think the technical term is 'interfacing' ;):D

Thankyou:D I knew that really I was just testing you:whistle::D

  • Just been googling cat shapes - there aren`t many images but came across this doorstep and thought the design could be scaled down to make some cat hangers.

This is a cute little cat shape that could be adapted...

What about these http://www.scattycat.co.uk/scented_animals_animal.html perfect. Also ebay is cheaper for dried lavender, you can get free P&P so I thought I'd get some will let you know how it is?!

Ah thanks - these are sooo much more intricate than the ones I have in my head! I might try and get a prototype done this week to show you what I was thinking.

Good tip on the lavender too ... does anyone have nay other ideas of things that could be used in scented bags, I seem to think lavender can be quite an acquired taste?

I found these on the Kirstie's Homemade Christmas website and copied a couple for friends last year, took me about an hour each and that was hand sewing, and I think they look pretty effective!

Oh I love your angel! Well done!:T

Hoping to have mine finished soon. I'm doing one of the angels from Sew Pretty Homestyle. Hoping my sewing speed will increase after I've had the cast removed from my arm this afternoon (broke my wrist 5 weeks ago!!).
Will post a pic when I get her finished!

Dopey, I love the angel, well done!!
I spent my odd bits of spare time making little felty charms to go on long chains, with other charms..like all the charm necklaces you seem to see in accessorize etc..mainly inspired by the fact my sister wanted an apple necklace..need to put them all together, and add the charms to jumprings etc, but will take some pics when done..
haven't got any further with any of the dresses, though :(

    peppop, charm squares like these;

    http://www.pelennapatchworks.co.uk/5-charm-packs-257-c.asp

precut sqaures, perfect for simpler quilting projects etc.

That's exactly what I was looking for - brilliant Thanks
The last thing I need is *another* thread to subscribe to! If only I didn't have to work...

I know what you mean - if only my boss would pay me to craft instead of boring stuff that I need to do....

    Dora - Love your angel.

Thanks for all your patience and your advice princesspoppypop

Guess what - another question... I know I'm a nightmare... My OH is wanting to clear out all his old t-shirts. Can anyone think of anything I can use them for other than to practice on?
