Fruit-loop, how about this - not sure if you'd like the green but the ladybirds are nice and friendly! Or this from the same company. Just discovered they are both on ebay too, but they are under ladybug, not ladybird. This is lovely too.

I think your idea sound great btw, just mad enough to be original!

I'm busy topping up my makes to sell this weekend at a school summer fair (fingers crossed for good weather). Here's my latest two - can you spot a theme?

I've also just bought Stray Sock Sewing and borrowed Sock and Glove so will hopefully be adding new varieties to my sock monkeys today (unexpected day off as I'm a supply teacher).
  • Very nice bags sm1971! I hope they sell well for you :D

Don't know if this one has been posted before (sorry if it has).

This company has some lovely fabrics and you can request 5 free swatches.

    Hope it's useful to someone.

I have a bag full of these:

    4767046155_d74679793e_m.jpg

pink 12" slightly shiny shoelaces which have plastic ends to stop them unravelling (no idea how I even acquired them now!) I hate to throw them away, but have absolutely no idea what to do with them. They're too short for using as piping and as soon as I take a plastic end off, they unravel.

Help me you inspiring bunch!! (Or let me know if you want them as I'm sick of the sight of them now just hanging around waiting to be used)

You could add one to a bag top so it looks like a draw string bag or even make a small drawstring bag for toiletries :)

I couldn't see a pic but Im hoping they are what I think they are lol

Thanks for the ideas, but at only 12" long the bags would have to be really small. That's why I'm so stuck!

Hi all, can I join in? Been lurking for a while. Loving all your makes! So much inspiration, just adding to things I want to try! I make bags from recycled clothing, tried a couple stalls but had no luck selling any. I have had a lot of interest through word of mouth. Any suggestions, critique etc gratefully recieved.
