Lellypants - I think its a great idea but unfortunately cant cross stitch and I dont think my sewing is good enough to do something like that (I would be too worried about ruining it.)

Everyone - Hi. Can I ask where you all get your iron on interfacing from? (medium weight). Im running out and trying to find cheapest place online to get more. Ive previously got it from ebay but not sure if its the cheapest. Thanks. :money:

    Hi Pootle :D.

Im sure they wouldnt mind if you could donate a few squares for someone else to sew together if you are not sure of doing it yourself :D.

I usually get my interfacing from Ebay, I just do a search then cheapest P&P and look through those sellers. I found this one which is good and might be worth a look :D

Well I've finally read all the thread and it's great. You've made some gorgeous things.

I made a note of things I wanted to comment on but can't decipher my scribble now except for a few.

Craftlady, the bag your daughter made is brilliant

Karmacookie, The long sleeved tshirt you cut up the front - have the edges just rolled round to form an edging?

Kandi, when you made your taggies I didn't know what they were for and had to google it. I would have probably looked puzzled as well if I had got one until it was explained. I'm sure the baby will love it.

Vicki, you've done so well to make a dress after only having your machine a few days - and without a pattern. It takes me a few days just to study a pattern and cut it out!

I'm all revved up to start now but I let my daughter take my machine and sewing scissors to uni so I'll have to wait, but she finishes soon.

Kandi - Im loving your new batch of make up bags! Do you hand sew on your ribbons or use a machine? - I especially like the red one that have the different coloured thread on the ribbon but not sure how you do it! They are really lovely. :)
Thanks for the kind words. I sew them on by machine, the red with the white stitching came like that and I sewed it on with red thread up the middle of the narrow strip, some of them I have attached with Bondaweb too.

Lesley - count me in, if it is straight stitching I can do that! Just PM me on here or email me - address link in blog.

My iron in interfacing I bought from the Yorkshire Trading Company, I can't remember how much it was I am afraid as I bought in with loads of other stuff - as I always do in there! I will take note next time though and let you know.

Have been asked to make hen night tutus. I am making dead simple ones.
Buying the net (folded in half so 2 layers ) then fold in half again to make 4 layers.
Simple waitstband running stitch in which to feed the elastic.

? is how much should each person allow. The girls vary in size & build but a vague idea would be great.
    Thanks

Heres a good tutorial to show you how to make a tutu, with little sewing. As its just for a hen night it doesn't really need to be a real ballet tutu and it might save you some fabric. You just need to know the peoples waist measurement and then make the strips long enough that they reach mid-thigh (maybe a little longer) when folded and tied on. A combination of colours would look great!

hth and u have a good night!

Yeah, took 2 mins. Something you can try while you wait to get your machine back :)

Been making another makeup bag, this time a bit bigger. I wanted to use up my little felt cupcakes I cut out a while back:

Kandi, I want to make one of those bags, where did you get the pattern?

I'm scared of zips, I don't know why, I've never done one not even watched my mum so they really are a big unknown. Any tips or words of encouragement would be great!
