Pootle the bag is realy clever, I would not know where to start with putting pic's on to fabric, well done :T
It is really easy Hart. You just need to buy transfer paper then print your image on it and then iron the image onto the fabric from the sheet. I made a bag for my MIL and put a photo of my DD on and it turned out really good and was so easy.

    Vicki i love the pegbag.

Kandi i was peeking at your makeup bags on your blog they are so good i love them!.

Pootle i love the bag its brill.

To add buttons to your blog just copy the button from the blog, (right click, save picture as)and save it on your computer.
Then in your blogger account, from the dashboard,
    ~ click into layout,
~ on the right hand side about half way down select add a gadget,
~ scroll down to the one that says picture and click on the +
~ browse from your computer to add the photo,
~ copy and paste the blog address (from the top address bar) that the button is from into the link box (delete the http:// that is already there first)
~ save and you should be done.

You can then rearrange where the button sits on your sidebad by moving that box down to where you want it, preview to check you are happy, then save.
Hope that is some help, maybe not the easiest way but it's how I do it. :)

Than ks for those great instructions Kandi. i have added a button link to your giveaway on my blog:D

Kandi ~ Yet more lovely bags, well done.:T

Vicki ~That dress is amazing, I wish I was that clever!:j:T

Still no sewing happening here I'm afraid.:( I've been too busy with family stuff this weekend!

I'm really jealous of those duvet covers everyone seems to have got from Tesco! I've popped out to 2 tesco's near me and can't find one anywhere!:(

    Hi Fruitloop

Ok, this is the tutorial I used

    http://mmmcrafts.blogspot.com/2009/06/basic-messenger-bag.html

I replace the measurements from there with the following (assuming 1/4" seam allowance):

    Body: 11" wide x 19" long
    Flap: 9" wide x 10.5" long

As I said my bag was about 9" square. If you wanted it smaller you can probably just reduce each measurements by a few inches (reduce body length by double the reduction as its just one piece folded over) and it should still be ok. (I havent given you a size for handle as it depends on the size of your recipient!)

Let me know how you get on!

Hi Fruitloop, no, it wont work on denim.
There are 2 types. One that works on light fabrics (white or pastel shades) and one (more expensive) that works on dark fabrics but you need to use it on cotton or cotton/polyester.

You could always print onto cotton then just use it as a patch for your bag rather than putting straight onto the bag.

Here is a link for the light stuff

Here is a link for the dark stuff

    Happy sewing!! :)

Dizzytina - Your bag looks great. Ive left a comment on your blog. ;)

Kandi - Im loving your new batch of make up bags! Do you hand sew on your ribbons or use a machine? - I especially like the red one that have the different coloured thread on the ribbon but not sure how you do it! They are really lovely. :)

Lellypants - I think its a great idea but unfortunately cant cross stitch and I dont think my sewing is good enough to do something like that (I would be too worried about ruining it.)

Everyone - Hi. Can I ask where you all get your iron on interfacing from? (medium weight). Im running out and trying to find cheapest place online to get more. Ive previously got it from ebay but not sure if its the cheapest. Thanks. :money:
