Bunny - your dress is great! I think you are so brave - I am too scared to even attempt clothes following a pattern already made! Well Done.
GenieUK - I also do lots of other crafting and enjoy making jewellery, sewing, knitting (a little bit), crochet (just learning), card making, drawing. If only I didn't work full time.......... (*dreams*)
Sunshine - Fantastic bag! The colours are brilliant and it looks really professional, the flower farbic is beautiful. You can stand there and agonize........

Well i finally finished a fully lined bag! I wish I could share it with you but still can't find camera! Oh, and I made some small curtains for the inside of the doors on my welsh dresser!
Not having such a good day today, discovered fraud on my bank account so a bit stressed. Decided to make a spec case, simple and stress free I would have thought, wrong. What a flipping pigs ear I made of it! Still another learning experience as I broke the needle and needed to change it and discovered that it is in fact very easy to change a needle on a sewing machine!
I continue to be so very impressed and inspired by the creations on this thread, I really am in awe!
Found this the other day, thought it looked good and very usefull

it's from the 'kids can make' section so should be quite easy?
Need to go and do housework/cooking/walk dog/clean fish tank now then go to work this evening
Hi karmacookie - Hope your bank thing is sorted - we had the same thing the other week with both of our bank cards so had to cancel everything and start again - such an inconvenience. Well done on still getting some sewing done :T - hope you find a cam soon so you can share. Your cutesy curtains sound ace.
Sunshine I love your bag! So bright and pretty.
Genieuk - I tend to be quite faddy so have done loads of crafts (card-making, jewellery making and gardening if that's a craft, but sewing is the most enduring!)
My latest fad: I ordered some floral fabric a few days ago and am using it for these fab little boxes:
(More info over on my blog) Just need to move my sewing machine into the garden to make the most of the weather! It's B-E-A-utiful0 -
I don't know about anyone else but sewing isn't the only 'craft' I like.
So what other crafts do we like to do in our 'spare time'.
I Like:
Cardmaking
Jewellery
Mosaics
Knitting
Baking (is that a craft)
I attempted card making (bought loads of stuff, tried twice then realised Im no good at it.) So now have a box full of card making stuff Im trying to flog on ebay!!
I know Im going off subject but have you seen the Bakerella website? Its great! Cake Pops are the new craze I believe!:smileyhea0 -
in-the-beach-hut your boxes are brilliant, I will have to add them to the bottom of my ever increasing list of things I need to make!
Sunshine - where did you buy those T-towels?You can stand there and agonize........

Hi Kandi,
Poundland believe it or not. I normally dont go in there but as I was on a teatowel mission I thought Id see what they had. You get a floral one and the duck egg blue coloured one (the lining) for a pound! I bought 3 as you need one set for the handles. They also have loads of packs of socks some of which are suitable for sock monkeys.:smileyhea0 -

These are lovely, the fabric is great too - where did you get it from? I tried to make a fabric box a few weeks ago and it ended up looking more like a bag as the interfacing I used wasn't heavy enough. I have to get some more so will try again when it arrives.
This is mine made out of old Pj bottoms and OH's shirt LOL.

:j I have found the key to weight loss.....ZUMBA :j0 -
since having my new sewing machine a few weeks ago and lurking in the back ground on this post, taking inspiration from you all.... I have gone mad with sewing and I love it.
Here are some of my creations (not all great but I like the challenge)
Knitting needle roll (made from old shirt and jama bottoms again) - http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff296/trixietoes/Knittingneedleroll2.jpg
My Hoot (made from old work trousers and some odd fabric) http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff296/trixietoes/The1stHoot3.jpg
Coloured pencil roll (adjusted from the original crayon roll) I actually bought this fabric :-) - http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff296/trixietoes/Projects031.jpg & http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff296/trixietoes/Projects033.jpg
Union jack draft excluder - http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff296/trixietoes/UJDraftExcluder.jpg
Wine glass coasters - http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff296/trixietoes/Projects021.jpg
and my what I am most proud of so far... actual clothes LOL. My 1st attempt - Trouser jeans.

I hate jean/trouser shopping and have probably wasted thousands over the years on stuff I end up not wearing and giving away so this was an experiment - spend just over 20.00 in total inc the pattern for them. This is the way I will be going in the future as they actually fit how I want them too!
Keep all those fabulous creations coming ladies they are really inspiring, it is also good to feel as if I am learning with others too and not alone in my experiments :j
