Not sure if anyone frequents the freebies board but I sometimes do and came across a few links for free fabric swatches.

Anyway ordered them and thought id post a photo to show you what I got just incase anyone wanted to order also. Still have around 3 of the bigger size still to arrive.

Started off feeling bit guilty for ordering them but just bought a sofa from John Lewis so that has eased it a bit!! If anyone cant find the thread, let me know and Ill point you in right direction!

They're gorgeous - I love the four floral square ones - where are these from? I'm a terror for ordering swatches (some more arrived yesterday from a sofa company and they're lovely - linen!) I haven't let the guilt bother me too much yet (not to the extent that I order a sofa from John Lewis!) but have ended up buying loads in Laura Ashley having only gone in to get swatches.... :o

I am a huge fan of Terry's Fabrics as their swatches are a decent size and their material is so lovely - I used some of the doggy print material (see fabric thumbnail below - was a free sample) last night for a doorstop and now don't want to give it away even though I made it as a gift...

MBF-Curtain-Fabric-Cinnamon.gif Might have to make another for myself (which will mean ordering some of their fabric - damn those free swatches!)

Kandipandi - your rikrak sandwich sounds a nightmare! It looks super neat though so well done. Think I may steer clear and stick with good old bias binding... :D

Im sure the floral ones are John Lewis. There was curtain and sofa samples and pretty sure these are curtain.

(p.s I was buying a sofa anyway! Just made me feel better as wasnt sure about swatch ordering etiquette!! x)

My little one keeps taking my sock monkeys and my eldest (15) said I would rather have a sackboy, but I'm not brilliant at knitting so said sorry but i don't think I could manage one. Think I can now :)

I have mothers day sorted, just need to post the cushion off though :D Im not going to be able to get to my mums until Easter :(

I got my fabric samples this morning, they are great :D Thank you Sunshine for that great idea :D

I got a real bright pink shower curtain in the CS this morning for £2.20 and it will be great for the lining of the pale pink fabric I have to make a wash bag for my sister with.

Got the glue for my purse's too so all I need now is a very long wkend to finish it all :rotfl:
Getting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a time :) and Love sewing :)
