Just been contacted asking for sewing lessons/information, so I may be able to get my "business" off of the ground sooner then I thought! Whoopie.
Lets hope that it is a lead to bigger and better things!.

Not sure if anyone frequents the freebies board but I sometimes do and came across a few links for free fabric swatches.

:D i ordered the 2 sofa fabric swatches, and loved the packaging that came with the comfy sofa company ones. we will need a new sofa when we hopefully move, so i had no guilt, this was research! :D actually it was, as i found i hated the 'textured linen' despite it looking nice in the photo. most of my John Lewis ones are still to come, but i got the big dotty one like you already!

Mooloo - Congratulations - its a great idea and something that I imagine will be very rewarding as a job.
Hart44 - Im so envious that you have sorted your mothers day gifts, mine sadly have not happened yet and its a week on Sunday!! Arghhh, I must get cracking, if I dont find any nice doggie / cat material by Saturday (to make peg bags and carrier bag holders) I think I will have to buy a gift instead (Arggghhh........).
Sunshine12 - Thanks for the fabric swatches idea - I ordered some the other day and I had to pre warn DH that I was sending for freebies - as lots of packages keep arriving and he must think I am spending a fortune on fabric!!
Not made anthing for a while as my sewing machine is being ignored for my beading at the minute, wanted to make a few bag charms and nice beaded zip pulls for my bags and makeup bags, but it has become a bigger obsession and I'm making earrings, necklaces, bracelets and I'm addicted!
Please let me have 5 day weekends and 2 day working weeks to do it all in :)

Great to hear you enjoying your beading. I dont think Id have the patience for that...too fiddly! I have some crafts beautiful magazines that have lots of stuff in them for bead suppliers/some tutorials etc so if you need any links for suppliers etc give me a shout. :)

Could you maybe organise something with Paypal so that when you get the money they get access to you (that sounds a bit dodgy but you know what I mean :p)

    Hi

Well i finally finished a fully lined bag! I wish I could share it with you but still can't find camera! Oh, and I made some small curtains for the inside of the doors on my welsh dresser!

Not having such a good day today, discovered fraud on my bank account so a bit stressed. Decided to make a spec case, simple and stress free I would have thought, wrong. What a flipping pigs ear I made of it! Still another learning experience as I broke the needle and needed to change it and discovered that it is in fact very easy to change a needle on a sewing machine!

I continue to be so very impressed and inspired by the creations on this thread, I really am in awe!

Found this the other day, thought it looked good and very usefull

it's from the 'kids can make' section so should be quite easy?

Need to go and do housework/cooking/walk dog/clean fish tank now then go to work this evening :(
