I bought everything when I was overseas, My biggest cutting mat I got frm Jo-Ann's and they do ship to England, same as my quilting rulers. You culd look at Bee Crafty at Ellington, I know that Sarah and Julie stock almost everything, but I am not sure if they do post for things. http://www.beeingcrafty.co.uk/

Now I have the rotary cutters but for the life of me I can't get a clean cut! Even with a new blade! Must find out why!
Making lots at work and bibs etc at home. Just sent DS up into the loft to get me down some jeans for up cycling into shorts for my stall in a fortnight. Have a few new t shirts to rework as well. Got them in Primarni, so I can experiment. When I get the chance.
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

Sounds like you will be busy then Mooloo, I am stuck this week as OH is on nights, have bits cut out and list as long as my arm but cant use the machine. Did make little house for GD for her birthday next week though, going to make three more for the smallest great niece and nephew and goddaughter.

Mooloo, I have found I need to pressure on the cutter and keep the pressure consistent until the cut is completed.. Subconsciously we lift the pressure while just making sure are cutting on a straight line. If I cut using my right hand the pressure varies, if I cut left hand, it is fine. i had to set my rotary cutter up for a leftie. Stop laughing you lot, if you are a righty try cutting using you left hand and you will see what I mean. I had to buy left handed scissors, rightie scissors cause me all sorts of problems.. if you are going to keep laughing, I am going to make myself a cuppa....the woes of of a dyslexic leftie

Thanks Battleaxe, I am going to adapt one for a boy, thinking farm, garage, or something, will have think about it and ask what he is into. I did laugh at the left handed, sorry, but it reminded me of my SIL, she is left handed and has the same problems. I find you get better with the rotary cutter, been using mine now for about 3 or 4 years and wonder how on earth I managed before with scissors.

The Old Hobbit want a tablet cover that is in book form but wants it with a tri fold, he doesn't want much, so I am off to draft out a protype and make it up. I bet he will wont refinements like pockets and stuff on the inside. he never uses this tablet, he has it three weeks and cannot get the hang of it. I am the one who has to set up the computers, BTW, Hobbit is an electrical engineer, he is very good, but computers have him confused....poor baby.

I taught my right handed sister how knit left handed. She really struggled with that one..hahahahaha

I am too much of a beginner, I've never heard of rotary cutter and mat.. Just googled it..
But can't really see the point? I draw the patern on the cloth with chalk and then follow the line with scizors and if it is a bit shaky it doesn't matter because I will still run a sawing machine on the line of the chalk... And tidy up after.
But then I never made curtains or anything like that that needs long straight line... The think that scares me most about curtains is making sure the masses of fabric are exactly the same width when I finished with it!!
