Any, use tissue paper to help stabilise the seams and any sewing and I would be using a tops stitch ball point needle, a fine one or a very sharp top stitch needle 70/10. if your machine is a newer model you will find the fabric will just glide inder the presser foot. I would also use a longer stitch length so it wont pucker. The design looks so simple, I have downloaded it and am going to draft it out for myself Thank you. This top is just the thing for the weather we are enjoying.0

Winnie it is very beautiful. I really like the colours. That would fit nicely into my bedroom decor!!:-))
Everyone, Craftsy has a sale on again. I just bought a class on how to design and sew your own A line skirt for £6.59. This class costs £40 in Manchester! As a complete beginner I need full detailed instructions, so hopefully this will do it!!
Also, Cloth magazine has a simple maxi dress pattern available online http://www.cloth.co.uk/boho/download-boho-maxi-dress
The instructions are only in the magazine, but they are not difficult. I could help if anyone wants to PM me (summarise the steps or something).
I am going to make it in short dress though..
Do you think meter of fabric will be enough, if 140cm wide (so all the cuts will fit 1 width) and I only need it for the lenght of the dress?0 -
Amy your dress is lovely well done.
Winnie your quilt is lovely too, well done two great projects ladies.
Ive not done any sewing recently apart from taking up some straps on some summer dresses for my little girl.

That is beautiful Keza. It is almost exactly the quilt I have in my head that I will make 'one day'. Mine won't be anywhere as lovely as yours though.
