I'm sure you have but have you dropped your feed dogs? It shouldn't make much difference to the machine as it is the fabric doing the moving not the machine. Hark at me, I've only tried a practise run a couple of times myself lol. I have been following this set of videos

I have to set my machine up. I have to change the needle, drop feed dogs, change stirch length to zero, or course change to darning foot and then change pressure on tye foot to lowI'm trying so hard to be thrifty, but it doesn't come naturally. You lot are an inspiration!JUST LOVES THE O/S BOARD0

Rd ive just had a thought some machines you have to bring the bobhin thread thru the material and have it resting on the top of the materialI'm trying so hard to be thrifty, but it doesn't come naturally. You lot are an inspiration!JUST LOVES THE O/S BOARD0

I have a Singer and a Brother, both are top loading bobbins. They both do the same, that's what makes me think it must be me doing something wrong x0

Right I think with top loaders you pull the bobbin thru. Try that and if not we'll have to think of something else.I'm trying so hard to be thrifty, but it doesn't come naturally. You lot are an inspiration!JUST LOVES THE O/S BOARD0
