    Hi everyone :D

I have just ordered 2 purse frames off ebay and cann't wait to make them, also got some glue, I think that is going to be the fun bit, will it be me or the fabric that gets stuck to the frame :rotfl:

I will keep in touch as to how it goes when they arrive and get the pic's on here to show you all.

In the mean time I have made a bag using 2 t-towels, it tuned out a bit large but Im using it to take my ebay packages off to the post office as I can get them all in it :D
Getting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a time :) and Love sewing :)

Stardrops - Congratulations, evjoy every minute of him!! I love his name too, If I had had another Boy that was the name I wanted.

I've been to the Pins and Needles Craft show today and Im exhausted and skint but I had a lovely day with my best friend!:j

There was not much in the way of fabrics, mainly aimed at quilters, but I got 12 fabulous fat quarters for £10.

I did two workshops though, one was beadwork - I made a bracelet, and I am addicted!!! I had thought I could learn to make a few bag charms to add to my bags and makeup bags, but I spent a small fortune on beads. Eeeekk:eek::eek:.
Not got enough time to sew everything I want to so where am I going to find the time to use all of these beads up? I will have to sleep sew from now on. :rotfl:

eta. the other workshop was origami Kusudama ball - its brill, I only did about a 1/4 of it in the hour it was quite fiddly, I will have to finish it tomorrow.

Good luck with your purses, I've made a few of them and your're right, the most difficult bit is gluing the fabric to the frame. My advice would be "Take your time!" and let your glue dry for 5 minutes after you have applied it and before you try to insert the fabric into the frame:D Here is the first one I made

Stardrops - Congratulations! What wonderful news.

Love those purses. Am hoping to have a bash at a tissue holder today - is frustrating as am to scared to get my machine out while little one is running around so haven't been able to move from practicing to making yet.

I also bought some children's fabric cheaply as I wanted to make a little quilt and think I will begin later. To be honest I feel very nervous at attempting to make something as I am new to sewing. :)

Hi Margaret54. A member of 'thesewingforum' is guiding beginners through making their first quilt. Here is the link http://www.thesewingforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=19093&page=12

Also look at the videos on youtube and ehow.com on how to make a quilt.

    Enjoy your quilt making.
