  • Lovely makes, thanks for sharing

cuddles123 - if I were to make a tree like that my backing fabric would look puckered, you have done it well

winniepooh - cutting into fabric is moving from potential to realising that potential - of course it's scary! But it is also a buzz isn't it

Great makes love the applique cushion

Winniepooh, don't stress you will be fine but don't use your rotary cutter on paper it will blunt the blade same with sewing scissors never use them to cut paper either
  • morning all

    hope your all well

cuddles love the cushion it's lovely

    dizzy your work is beautiful

Winnie I take ages to cut things out measure and recheck several times especially if it's for someone else.

I like my rotary cutter but the blade did seem to go blunt quite quickly.

All the things for the caravan are to finished now, they seem happy with them. want to make the door stops now may start today if I get a chance

have a good day happy stitching

  • Good morning to you all, it's a lovely morning here. So im going to get dressed and take the puppy for a long walk.

Anyway ive been thinking about projects and ive got a couple in mind. Im sure you lovely people who have loads of ideas flying about.

Im determined to finish one project before starting another.

So ive got 8 cushions to make.
A practice in go at rail fence quil with scrap fabric
Then do it properly ( hopefully )

And then I would like to attempt a roman blind for the downstairs toilet. Its a small window. But how easy is it to make.?

What bits would I need to get for the blind to work?

Roman blinds seem to be very in at the moment - got a magazine the other day - lots of the makeover rooms featured them. I have nets and want rid of them. Do you buy the bits or the kits please? Also can you get wood dowel - cheaper? and would it be okay? I have some wide windows.

thats lovely HMO, I have tacked together a quilt this afternoon, I started it last year. I had done the main piece, just needed a frame round the adge to make it a bit bigger. I cant decide whether to hand quilt or machine. I am not that good at machine quilting and it uses up a lot of thread but then again, its going to be for sale so not sure if I would get a good price to cover hand quilting for days on end.
