Geekgirl, hop aboard, no lurking we can see you
Mooloo, Oh dear, count to 10 and breath.:o
HMO, The colours on your quilt match so well. Is it for yourself?
Rufus; I used an ordinary sheet for the signatures. If I did another, I would ask people to sign more in the middle and not near the edge.
Morgage; never made bunting. Hope you did something nice after to make up for the boring bunting:o
Crafty; get cracking! I like stitching next to the wood fire, nice and cosy.
Twisted; Nice bag. A red one sounds lovely. Bet the recipients were really pleased with them. What lovely gifts.0 -
Hi Everyone!
I have just found this thread and am so pleased! I love sewing and making quilts!! I am handquilting a quilt as I watch TV then thought I would check out the forum! I have two more quilts tops to quilt a tumblers block quilt and a eight pointed start
scrap quilt I made in the summer. I try to buy fabrics cheaply from various Patchwork fairs I go to and any vintage fabrics I can recycle. I will post some pictures soon!0 -
I am breathing.... but havent the time to go to the machine today. So my make of the day will have to be added onto another day. Unless I sew by hand. However I do do some handsewing on my patchwork, and make some of the "rounds" or flowers" when I am not doing my main stuff. So one day it will be finished.!
I need to buy plain black and white cotton for it or its going to be far too busy. But havent been to the market lately. So its coming to a bit of a halt.
Love the bag, and all the quilts.
It all keeps the creative juices going thats for sure. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

The bag looks great! I'll have to have a go with that pattern when I've cleared my project backlog and made a few more scrap busting items.
I ordered two patterns for tops - hoping to be able to use fabric I already have for those.
I should say that my scraps and fabric are not my accumulation - I bought someone else's fabric mountain from ebay for £10 and ended up with 5 bin bags full! After sorting into keeping and car booting... I'm now about halfway through washing the larger pieces. Still feeling overwhelmed with all the fabric but it's nice to have stuff to practise on.MFW: Nov 2008 £156k, Jun 2015 £129k, Jun 2017 £114k.0
