I made a kindle case and used the thinnest polyester wadding they do at Dunelm Mill, can't remember what weight it was now but if you look on their site it will tell you, its cheap too. I think a thicker weight one would be too thick for something so small xx

When I made a case for my daughter's Kindle I just used stuff from my stash. I didn't have any wadding so just used some of a cheap Ikea fleece blanket on the inside and cotton (from one of her very old school dresses - she's 36 now!) on the outside. It works very well and gives just enough protection without being too bulky.

Started to mess around with a Scrappie patchwork cushion last night. Using the scraps bag of Makower fabrics I got from Jackies fabrics. Interesting, never done it before, but I will practise. These fabrics were all London/jubilee fabrics, that had obviously been cut out for bunting. At least it means that the fabrics used are all complementary.
Off on holiday Monday, so I must go and pack. happy sewing all.

Have a couple of questions - I have some vintage silk that I would like to make some french knickers out of - and then would like to try and make some more underwear ( as struggling to get anything that is nice and fits right now) -has anyone got some pattern, book or sewing course recomendations.

    thank you

Hi ocemeer. Have you tried y*utube. You'd be amazed at the tutorials they have on there, especially sewing and craft ones. Hope that helps :)

Here is a pic of the little mouse I'd been working on from the Mollie Makes magazine. I almost gave up countless times but glad I persevered.

I don't believe in the concept of hell, but if I did I would think of it as filled with people who were cruel to animals.
