Been missing in action. Skimped through the reading sorry folks!.
The pictures i have seen look great. Love the cow sock monkey. I want one of them, seeing as Mooloo is my name and cow buttons are on all my makes etc.! Even my sew in labels are cows.
I have finished two of my bunting orders. The "John & Joan" and date one I finished today, and got paid £12 for.
The lady who runs the nursery wanted to see my stuff, and I left a bag at Nursery this morning. she has chosen a set, bag, purse and wallet. so about £15 coming in for those. I think I did my sums wrong on the sheet and said £17. Better check that with her tomorrow. I said i would give 15% to the nursery.
Oh well will check tomorrow.
I have also a request to look at the bags by one of my friends, she wants one for a raffle or something. So maybe the sales will start to roll in, I hope so. I have so much fabric to use up now!!!When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

Very quiet on here!! Hope everyone is sewing away, or out enjoying the chilly day, still nice though.
I have had an interview for a job in a sewing machine shop...looks promising, will find out on Monday if I've got it. Love the idea of being able to play on all of the machines...even those over £5000!!!:eek:

I would love a job like that!
Been missing in action as I went to a MSE meeting in Bristol this weekend. Great time was had by all I think.
Now I will have to get back and sew, as I have several orders to fullfill. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
First picture finished and looking good :j
I will take a piccie tomorrow in daylight, and post it. Should be working on the other two pictures now, but very tired so sure to make mistakes tonight. Might have another practice on some scrap material in a bit....almost too scared to quilt either of the pictures...they look pretty good already! I know they should look even better quilted though.
No gardening done this weekend...but at least I have a clean(er) and tidy(er) house...and have managed some sewing!! Tomorrow, I may have a new job, fingers crossed!

May I pick your brains?
I want to make a gift for a friend's 50th. It's just a token really doesn't need to be hugely expensive just to show that I've made the effort. I wanted something that I could personalise by embroidering his name (sorry forgot to say it's a man). I thought of an apron but I know he has a couple of those already. Any ideas?
I'm going to post on Special Occasions too.
TIA:)0 -
Maman, how about a cover for some technical type gadget, I-pad, Kindle, phone or a messenger type laptop bag?
Yippee I finally managed to get some sewing done this weekend after weeks of not being able to. I made a jersey dressing gown for a New Look pattern, altho I changed it up quite a bit. Will try and get some pics up.0
