  • whoops, where does the time go!!
I've been making cowlcape/ponchos (pattern from fleecefun.com)have made one for me out of a dense wool coat type fabric with a damask layer for the underneath of the collar, am making mum one too & have made one for my DLC with abit of me trying out reserve applique :j (also made her a very cute advent calendar the other week courtesy of a craft idea card picked up in hobbycraft :D)

Argh can't post pics or links :(

next is cushion covers for christmas presents & a dress for my best mates wedding in Jan (trying to do something like the preen plaza dress [can't add a link but you can see a pic on rent the runway] but want the pleated shoulder part to come down slightly further so there is no separate waist section, wish me luck)

Pennib your pincushion it lovely - do you do the wording by freehand machine embroidery? Your work is always so lovely.

Hi Tix-a-belle, no wonder the time is flying for you, you sound mega busy! Think you should be able to post links/pics when you've got a few posts under your belt, can't wait to see them.
  • thanks avstar, i'm really pleased with them but thats not busy i've tonnes more i want to get done! my spare bed is covered in fabric lengths & patterns for projects i want to make & once i get through that backlog i'd ideally like to make bits & pieces to sell on the side.
i don't function well being stuck in an office all day every day i much prefer the idea of making bits & buying fabric :D

but tonights job is try to remove the shower drain & then attempt to draft a pattern for the dress mentioned above so i know how much fabric i need on saturday

    Loving the bling avstar!.
My fabric bits I couldnt resist from jackies fabrics arrived today. So I have even more christmas bits to play around with. Although my actual intention is to add to the stash and to use throught the year to make the things I want for next years decorations. But I am sure some of it will be used this year as its so luvvverly.
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.
