  • Thanks Rufusdog for your reply, your bags are great and that is the same design and colour I got, along with a blue one. I only have a basic Mini-Stitch type machine so will have a go at something involving right sides together! Just need to find something Christmassy to make with the Xmas Vinyl now!
    thanks

Could you use the christmas stuff to make place mats, or napkin rings, things like that for the day.? If the pieces are very small, could you make christmas tags with them, stitching them to plain fabric that can be printed on, or written on in fabric paints perhaps.
I manage to print on fabric, in my printer (Normal one), by sticking fabric to a piece of thincard, about 1/2" down the card, with double sided stickytape, and print out pictures or what ever I want on the fabric!:T

Thats a good idea Mooloo, I didnt know you could do that. I will have to give it a try in my printer. The placemats you mention, she could use a smaller square or rectangle of the Christmas vinyl and then add normal fabric frames around the outside. Could be used just as a centre piece on the table if there is not enough fabric for actual placemats.

Georgia, your shirt re-fashion is lovely!

HMO your DD is very talented, I bet her nana will love it :T

Mooloo, love the wreath, I wanted tomake a yarn ball wreath this year but I can't find the doubled wired wreath that everyone seems to use on the American craft sites.

    Florence the curtains are great.

Sorry for anyone I've missed out, it's hard catching up - the thread is moving fast again :T

Made a Christmas stocking this weekend, sill try and get some pics up.

A friend was having a clear out and gave me loads of lace about 2 inches wide, various colours, got no idea what to do with it :rotfl:

What about using the lace to make flowers for embellishments on cards? You can use flowers with sew/stitch on brooch backs or glue to headbands or back to felt for a necklace.

Looks great - I am sure your Dad will love his present. Did you use the insulating liner - if so - how many layers - I have brought some but never used it - you know what it's like - see something - have to buy it! I have been busy wrapping up EB sales. Now I have more business Christmas cards to make.

No I didnt have any, but I used wool fleece batting? and then wadding too, so I am hoping that they are going to be insulated enough! Dad will tell me if not. I suppose if I was making to sell I would have to have the proper stuff! but its for Dad and will be used mostly when out in thier caravan I should think. I will let you know if it doesnt work!!!

Lovely things for your Dad Mooloo, You inspired me yesterday and I have been up and finished off the two tote bags I was making. I have listed one on my shop and I am putting the other one away for my Sister for Xmas next year. I have some more fabric I bought to make one for tmy other sister and there will be enough for two of them so when done I can put one of them in my shop too.
