Just made a patchwork cushion with material I had in my stash. My heart always goes in my mouth when I start cutting in case it all goes pear shaped:o But to my suprise the patches match up :D
Sorry it's not the clearest of photos there are some close ups elsewhere.;)

How lovely is your wedding boquet and the buttonholes Pixie, it's a brilliant idea.

Avestar; Wow that's a great cape.

HMO: Lots of lovely makes there. On you b*og I can't see where to leave a comment or is it me being thick :o

Tamster; what a gooorrgeous apron that's definately one for a posh tea party!
  • That's lovely pennib, really pretty :-)

    Hi
I am finally going to finish my dining room curtains this week and could do with a bit of advice. They came from my old house and need to be shortened. Instead of sorting out the hem I opted to take the header tape off and shorten from the top. I have bought new tape and thats as far as I have got:o but seeing as It's getting cold now I think I better put the interesting sewing down and tackle them.:D
Now would I be better off using a zipper foot to attach the tape or just the normal foot? I have never done this before so would appreciate any advice.
    Many thanks
    Thrifty

i alwyas use a walking foot but if you dont have one just use a normal foot.

I bought a couple of issues of Mollie Makes, handsewn, and really didn't rate it at all. I think there was a "3 issues for £1" or sth similar that I took up, but didn't bother subscribing after that. I quite fancy burdastyle, but I think that it's pretty expensive over here (£67.99/12mths)
Is there still an offer on for Mollie Makes please?

The best I can find at the moment is £9.49 for 3 issues. I think My Favourite Magazines are on Quidco/TCB too, so might be worthwhile. :)

OK, I am inspired a bit more today. Going to play with the fabrics lurking and see what I can come up with.
Thanks to you all for continuing to add your makes. I really am not up to scratch these days! Time to get back to basics and start to have fun with my stash, and I have a huge stash of fabrics now!.
