Just got an email to say that I have won a book!!!!

It is called "sewing for boys".sewing-for-boys2.jpg

It was featured in a blog tour of about 20 blogs and I entered every single stop of the tour because I really wanted to win. So I am sooo excited that I actually won!

Now I have to get through all my WIP/UFO, before I can even begin to start to think about which project to start next, some boy stuff from this book or pretty applique from the Freya & Fred book!

    * WIP - work in progress
    UFO - unfinished objects
  • What a great book to win Tamster, it's a lot harder finding things to sew for boys.

Little_sarah, well done on being given a sewing machine!
  • Just catching up after a torrid 3 days in bed with some kind of virus. Everything looks great, especially that Alphabet Quilt... Am currently ensconced in sofa trying to build my strength up again, not sure why have been so wiped out, although I did lose 5lbs... Am sure it will go back on again once I start eating again! (not today, nor probably tomorrow...)

Will start sewing again when have the energy, have a couple of little things to be getting on with, could really do with some nice cross stitch for sofa and bed, but nothing like that on the go at the moment...

Hope everyone else is well and this isn't the start of the winter sickys...
  • just been sorting out bedding and i have loads of single duvet covers and not many fitted sheets anyone know if it is possible to turn a single duvet cover into a single fitted sheet and the best way to go about it.
    thanks

Whose seen my tape measure ? It's bright yellow, 300cm long and was wound up in a coil last time I saw it. :(

When things go missing in this house they're usually in the fruit bowl next to the socks :rotfl:

Thanks for the well wishes, I am improving, and hope that i will get to the sewing machine tomorrow. Fingers crossed. I have been offered a tens machine so just got to work out how to get it. Thanks everyone.

Love the fabrics, the books etc.
I have lots of books, and love looking at the projects. Just never get around to making them. One day is usually my chant!

Did anyone see the Aldi offer of knitting needles? Do you think £3.99 for a pair of bamboo needles is cheap/good value?
