Pennib love your fabric esp the lime green pieces.

Pogie I'm following you now :)

Made a very easy jersey mini skirt to wear with leggings, just copied a skirt I already had. So now I've actually made myself some clothes :j

It doesn't have a wonky hem, its just the way the hanger is holding it...honest!

Wow that's a big pic, prob bigger than the skirt in real life...sorry, will try and adjust, that's better LOL!

Still not sewing except I just made a quick silky sleeve for my neck collar as they had to "doctor" it and cut the thing to size, so it was really tatty, and had great big bits of rough foam that rubbed. !! No its now got a tube over it, that I can pull over the velcro strap when its on, much better. Only thing is its reds and whites and today I am wearing a purple dress!! mmmmm But arm not really good enough to sew -hopefully next week.
I no longer have a tens machine, must get one. My last one one of the kids had when pregnant, and it came back in pieces!! grr.
    Happy sewing everyone.
I drove today for the first time in over 10 days. Its a bit sore, and I still have another 20 miles to go, as I am going to stop at the BF's. I actually have a Child free weekend!!!! DGD has gone to her Grandads. Yipee, long may it last!

Take care Mooloo, and get yourself a TENS machine!!!

I got mine from here on a recommendation from my physio. It's not the most modern-looking of machines, but you have more options for adjusting the type of pulse you get and it's easy to get replacement pads when/if you need them. You can have 4 pads on at once, which helps immensely. I was wearing mine all day two years ago, switching it off every hour for an hour, then back on. Had it like that for six months, but it did the trick with my back!!

Oops, didn't do any cutting out today, though I did look at various quilt designs to work out which one to use for my wall hanging!! :D

PS lovely material pennib, and love the skirt avstar, well done!!

Yep that's me as well....in fact I have cross stitch, knitting, sewing, painting all going on at the same time. So no wonder it takes ages to finish something as I hop from project to project depending on how I feel at the time :D

Avster; Great skirt, must have given you immense satisfaction making something to wear. You'll have a whole wardrobe before long!

Mooloo I agree get yourself a tens machine!!

Currently making a baby bean bag for my next grandson due any day. Just working from images and dimensions on line but really pleased with it. I need to finish the harness then the main part is done. I have bought a gorgeous soft blanket from Primark and plan to make a sleeping bag idea that will fasten on with the same harness

Here is the material that I've just received. Holding back from cutting it as I want it for a winter project (along with all the other projects :o) They colours are so zingy and not what I would normally go for, so now I'm officially out of my comfort zone and loving it:D

Well we went to Ikea today, first time in years as there isn't one near us and its not OH's favourite place to go. I thought I would treat myself to some more fabrics. We got lost as we went in and ended up having to walk all round the showrooms first, then went right round all the market bits until we found the fabrics. I saw loads I wanted but decided to just get two for now. Couldnt find any members of staff about but saw the sign saying cut it yourself so I cut a metre of each off and carried on going round the store, took us an hour in there altogether after stopping and drooling over their storage sections. Got to the till and the queues were a mile long but got on the end with my two metres of fabric, 20 mins later, got to the till only to be told I would have to take the fabric back to the department and get them to weigh it and package it up before I could go through the till. You can imagine what I told him to do with the fabric and I doubt they could sell it again after either lol.

Must say I was quite disappointed when I came out empty handed but means I will have a bit extra to spend if we go out over the weekend anywhere.
