Tamster your sock monkey is gorgeous :j
No secrets here chick - I've made 2 so far and I just sewed the 'muzzle' on and stuffed it, I used Wool to sew the smile on, a kindof running stitch were you go back and fill in the gaps LOL! And I didn't make mine too smiley - I prefer the serious look, with a mere hint of amusement...a kind of sock Mona Lisa :rotfl:

Lovely bag pootle.
Cute monkeys! I think the beauty of the sock monkeys, no matter how they're finished, is that each one is different and individual.0 -
I have just been & measured Mr Monkey and he is a whopping 60cm long from head to toe (over a metre if you measure from head to tail!) I will one day get around to making another, just with less stretchy socks!0

ok, so I have given up on multi-quoting lol!
Was trying to say that your monkeys look great & well finished! I will just have to keep practicing lol!0 -
Lovely sock monkeys! I've never tried one, think I might have a go :-) I love the bag pootle as well, looks very professional. Am drowning sorrows tonight, I didn't get shortlisted for a job I really, really wanted. Going to fire up my machine and break out the vino... I have a job, and don't hate it too badly, but I really WANTED this one! Sewing cures all ills though, so onwards and upwards :-)0

Lovely sock monkeys folks. They are so cute. I cant make them. My sock rabbit looked like road kill so I gave up.
Tamster that stitched wall hanging looks brilliant. Off to visit your blog to have a snoop!
