How did you cope with him before?

To be honest, if he is fine when he is alone, why not buy him some toys and make an extra fuss of him when he gets back? He'll probably much prefer that to being given to other people who may decide they don't want him too, or being given back to a rescue. He's already had so many homes, it really isn't fair to do it again.

You don't seem willing to listen to suggestions, though, and just want to get rid of the poor little guy.

how do i not seem willing to listen the only thing that keeps popping up is get a dog walker which cant be done.

so let me get this right you think its ok for a dog to be in a house for 11hrs or more by himself 6 days a week?? dont fancy being your dog

It is doable to find another £80 a month to help you out until you can find him a rescue place - it's obvious you don't want the responcibility of the dog long term but in the mean time we're trying to offer you help to find the money needed short term to afford a dog walker until you can rehome the dog. If you don't want that help then fair enough.
I suggest you firstly call the rescue you got him from - apart from probably being part of your agreement with them then it's if nothing else at least corteous to do so. More to the point they should fully vet and home check any potential home and also do a temperament test on the dog before letting him go out again.

If you wanted to keep him then where there is a will there is a way - Having been on less than 1/4 of my pay for a while now thanks to maternity leave I have STILL found the money needed for the dog walker to keep our space and for the dog to have something constant now the baby has arrived. If you want to make it work then it CAN be done.

    Poor dog.

I wish my dog walker was charing 20 per week, more like 10-15 per hour where I live.

But you obvioulsy do not want to keep the dog and the poor guy was rehomes several times already...

    No words...

  • Whilst I can understand people's opinions about what the OP should do, personally I am glad they have posted for advice on here, rather than just let him go to anywhere or anyone, with no consideration or forethought, as so many people sadly do.

    *sigh*

If you read my original reply I asked you to post your SOA so that we could have a look for you to help you - even if it is only to tie you over until you can find somewhere else for the dog. There is no need to bite at people who are actually trying to help you. I'm trying very hard not to be unfriendly for the sake of your dog and to help you make ends meet until you can rehome him. If you don't want help then why did you ask for it?
What about if anyone nearby - like an OAP - might be happy to have him during the day for company? Have you considered or looking into this? If you wanted to keep him then surely this would be a channel to spend some serious time looking into.

People on here are more than willing to help - but getting smart with them back isn't going to endear you to them or encourage them to help you going forward...

    thankyou

people just assume we all have the same lives as another op stated they managed to get the extra money for a dog walker well great thats them not us i came here because we love our dog but things have changed in our life that we could not control, so no matter how many of you bang on about getting a dog walker it cant be done we have tried finding the extra money. the reason i came here is not to be told the samething by every op but the hope that someone has been through the same thing and can offer advice but like what is happing all over this site its becoming a mob rule.

i remember back when this web site started it was very helpful for many reasons now it seems a place for people to have an opinion (which is great) but who do not have the back bone to say it face to face to people they hide behind thier computer
