Help to rehome our dog

Maka, I do hope you can find a way round this and keep the little dog. You seem to have had quite a rough time of it over the last few months but trying to hold the family together will reap dividends in the future. I can't possibly see how such long hours will work out with you both with regards to your son (although I know its none of my business) but having a doggy friend at home will give him and hopefully you some stability.
Wishing you lots of luck in finding a way through this. Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

Maka - I know this is nothing to do with the question you have posted here and you do not have to comment/reply but with financial worries you seem to have, topping up working hours at the cost of family life (both son and pet) is NOT an option. Not sure if you have spoken to CCCS or National Debtline but if not - please do so as you may be surprised at the help they may be able to offer.
Being worn out from working 11 hours per day for 6 days per week by both you and your life is not good for neither of you, or your son, or the poor dog in question.

Joining this late and haven't read through all the posts, wouldn't like to be in your shoes now, you're damned if you do and damned if you don't.
Don;t you have any teenagers around who could let the dog out at 3.30 for a walk ? Some of the teens round here do this, the people are happy as they aren't "paying" full dog walking rates. The kids are happy cos its money.Sealed pot challenge 822

Or even better option (my dog is very very sociable and loves going for walks with other dogs and I'd willing take another one out for the ride as it where !)Sealed pot challenge 822

just to add one comment on your belief that it is the best for the dog. You ask any kid who lives with absolutely fab kind foster parents in a nice comfy warm house where they would rather be. The dog might well find a nice new home ( fingers crossed) but perhaps the new owners will find themselves in your situation and not have your concerns. If you wait just a few weeks and find that the dog is showing signs of distress then reconsider. Hope it goes well for you and all concerned.0

Maka, this is off topic, so apologies - I applaud your determination, but that is an immense amount to take on, and may be to the detriment of your family life now, with no guarantee of a nicer life in the future...
Quality of life is about so much more than finances, although being short of cash is no fun! How old is your son - those sound like immensely long days for him.
Lookng back at my own childhood, my mum worked crazy hours to pay the mortgage and have a house in a nice area - she was permanently busy and tired - I hated it and resented it, and would so much rather have lived anywhere and had more time and attention from my mum.0 -
