We do this through the year with £1 per day each - you don't notice that amount, only the price of a newspaper!!

got you sorry.
when you put it like that it sounds doable but forgive me if im wrong i see having a dog something you and your family to enjoy them and your dog enjoy you so seeing us properly once a week does not sound like much fun to me but hey im not a dog.
but if i were i would want to be somewhere i can spend time with my family:beer: LOVE LIFE PROCEED & PROGRESS0 -
To be honest, one of the problems when we got our dog was the worry of what to do with her the days we are both out at work. My mother in law bought her for my children and so Tally (our dog) goes to her house to be dog-sat. We are lucky to have her close.0

Ok ok.....
I pay much more than 80 per montyh for a dog walker and.. I am on DMP staarting February so I am not exactly having a lot of cash to throw around.
My original SOA had absolutely no room whatosoever to accomodate my dog and cat's expenses (cat got kidney problems, on medication, vet visists, kidney deened to be flused etc etc, indoor cat so food and cat litter etc etc, large dog that east like a horse, expensive insurance for both as both cat and dog got medical issues, dog walker much more than 80 per month, no family or friends to take the dog out while I am at work etc etc).
I did nto rehome my dog or my cat, I have redone my SOA (with the help of CCCS) to accomodate all (although cutting back here and there and hmmm renaming some expenses that were not allowable but absolurte necessity in my position).
I will have very little to live on now BUT - I will be coming home with the 2 creatures I took responsibility for. They are here to stay - no matter what.
But again - you may choose to talk to somoen about yoru finanses (CCCS may be a good idea) and try to acomodate the poor dog in your new lifestyle and you may still try to rehome a dog.
Bear in mind though that rescues are full of pets and may not be able to take him on. Rehoming privately (and I know a bit about that) you NEVER have a guarantee of where the dog will end up, a perfect looking familu=y may take him off your hands only for him to ens up as a bite (however one spells it) for dog fights and.. you will never know.
Sorry if my post above is a bit chaotic - the rottie we though we have found a home to needs to be collected tomorrow and we back in square on.. bit upset seeing another dog in similar situation with an owner thinking that rehoming is such an easy thing to do...0 -
if we had friends or family near by it would be sorted but dont have that so the only thing we can do is re home him its not even like it is going to be a short period of being alone its 11hrs a day 6 days a weeks for at least 2 years until i hopefully become self employed:beer: LOVE LIFE PROCEED & PROGRESS0

did not say it was an easy thing to do just the best thing for the dog:beer: LOVE LIFE PROCEED & PROGRESS0 -
Maka- it may not be the best thing for the dog.
Did you actually read my post?
Sorry, it is full of typos etc but I am quite upset as something else has happened today - I can not type when I am upset (not directed at you of course).0
