Help to rehome our dog

  • I presume you havent had the dog that long, as he is only 2 and you are his fourth home.. sadly, I think people often forget when taking on a dog that it will be a daily commitment for ten to fifteeen years, but it is a shame you could not forsee your work patterns changing, and the possibility of this meaning the dog would need to go to yet another home so soon...

Maka, out of interest, I looked at your previous posts after others on here had commented about you looking to get a new car - I see you mentioned your dogs (plural) in that - do you have another dog? If so, are the working hours really the reason for rehoming this dog, or is their something else going on behaviourally? Obviously, if this is the case it may influence how you go about rehoming him safely and appropriately, and if he goes back to the rescue you do need to be upfront.

thanks i came here for ideas on re homing my dog to a loving home not have a bunch of spinless A holes to sit and point the finger as this changes nothing.

There you go, you answered my last post even before I sent it. All you wanted was some one to give you a aw never mind, and heres a rescue centre. Well it doesnt work like that. Most people on here think of their pets, and would, and do everything in their power for their animals.
    Shame on you.

  • Littlemissflower...nobody's bullying anyone. Maka came on here asking for help, people tried to help by suggesting ways he could keep the dog (naively assuming that this is what he would prefer to do) but he wasn't interested in that kind of help. He'd clearly already decided he no longer wanted his dog and seems to be only interested in getting rid of the dog as soon as possible. You can't expect people to be sympathetic with him now.

Well i have never heard the like, I was sort of feeling sorry for you intil your last post, but to call a dog it well i changed my mind. It seems to me that you had made up your mind to !"get rid" of the poor dog before you even posted. Maybe the dog will be better off with some one that doesnt call it an it, and some one with a bit more compassion.
If you think dogs can't count,
try putting three dog biscuits in your pocket and then give him only two of them.

i love my dog to bits and i call him it sometimes thats a stupid thing to say and as for your dogs cant count dogs cant but they can smell the extra biscuit lol

  • To be fair, the OP did initially ask for help rehoming his dog, not help in keeping it...

If you are trying to pick a fight with me then go ahead. At least i can say my amimals are wanted and not chucked away when the going gets tough.

I found myself in a situation, where my OH and I were working long hours. I used to take my dog out first thing in the morning, and make a fuss of him when I got back. I had no choice at the time, and thankfully this was only for a few weeks.

My dog was from a rescue, so his home was with us for life. I would suggest a dogflap in your situation.

To be fair, the OP did initially ask for help rehoming his dog, not help in keeping it...

finally someone who read the name on the thread which clearly says help to re home our dog.

but as stated before by another op people just jump on the high horse and it becomes a bully site rather than help but people seem to forget that as long as they feel they are in the right

shame on you guys and gals
