Thanks Dave
You tried to call out an electrician for a trip switch reset?0 -
DHL is my vent, and their non-existent communication ie no contact number to query or complain as I'd have gone and collected it myself. There tracking states adverse conditions @ 2pm on 24th, but I can see the motorway from my window and traffic's still moving and there's no snow !!!. Today (28th) their still closed. I see they've won a new contract so users be prepared for more non DHL deliveries, they can't cope with the work they have how can companies want to use them ?. There's a lot of unemployment out there, maybe its time they had some competition.
so you want all the workers sacked?
theres loads of couriers out there
as for being closed well so is RM
shall we get some competition for them as well and sack the staff too
if the company decided the roads were too risky then thats their decision
if only my company had the same thoughts i wouldnt have a broken finger now,but hey theres plenty of unemployed to replace me0 -

last year i waited 4 MONTHS for a despatch on an order. finally phoned them and was told they hadnt received it from their supplier. they hadnt taken payment though as out of stock so just cancelled the orderThere's someone in my head, but it's not me0 -
Let down by Ellie Grey.
Made an order for 4 items. Had a confirmation email and sat back and waited.
Weeks later I get a message left on my phone: 2 of the 4 items are now out of stock (why did it take them weeks to tell me that? and considering I made my order so early on in the day when the offer had just started, was my order maybe put to the back of the queue due to my sir-name beginning with the last letters of the alphabet?)
I then waited for the 2 items to arrive in the post and....nothing!
In the end I had to go out Xmas eve and panic buy a replacement gift instead!
I did email to complain, all I got was "sorry we didn't tell you".
Will NOT be ordering from them again!0 -

Custardy : This may be your job I don't know, what I do know is your selective in your reading interpretation. I DID NOT suggest anyone be sacked.
Quote: they can't cope with the work they have.
DHL is competition for RM and they can't cope, with another contract what can we expect !!! Give the plenty other couriers the work.
There's still a lot of unemployment out there, maybe its time they had some competition.
I agree if road conditions are bad then drivers shouldn't be put at risk. Traffic was still moving from Edinburgh, Glasgow to Aberdeen but not from Perth.
Had DHL had a contact number I would have collected it myself, try contacting them, emails haven't been answered either.0 -
Lovefilm for me, ordered 2 DVDs from them, both said in stock and dispatched within 3 days.
After several days I get an email saying the one at the reduced price isnt available at the reduced price and I will have to pay double to get it, a few more days later another email says the other DVD isnt actually in stock and I will have to wait till god knows when to get it, 2 christmas presents screwed up.
And now they have started spamming my email regarding their DVD rental service. NiceAha, so thats how you do a signature!0 -
katykitten wrote: »ordered and paid for 2 laura ashley couches in october (in good time for xmas one would think) -stated delivery date of 24th november came and went with a letter for a new delivery date of 2nd Feb!! they said i cant cancel as i had specified the colour of the couches which makes my consumer rights nul and void - very poor communications, long waiting times on the phone and no choice but to use my conservatory furniture for xmas!!
If you paid by credit card then they would probably have cancelled the payment to Laura Ashley. I'm pretty sure delivery 3 months later than stated is good enough grounds.
We had a similar situation with Harvey's Furniture. Paid for a dining table and chairs on 8th November as they were advertised (on TV and in store) as "Guaranteed Christmas Delivery". They weren't delivered (and it seems that loads of people are in the same boat). Their customer services claim that you can't cancel but my credit card company said 'nonesense - we should get your money back for you within 5 days. Although personally I think that if the advertise something as 'guaranteed delivery' they should be legally required to provide compensation too!! Too much hassle though - and I guess that's what they rely on.0 -
only problem i have had it with AMAZON but not willing to hold them responsible, they sent a parcel out on 16th which has still not arrived and one would guess a royal mail employee toasted christmas day with denby champagne flutes, but Amazon has already offered a full refund.
