Do the kids think Santa is shopping at Tesco now?

I've told my children in the past that Santa gets some of his stuff from Tesco and other shops for children living in this country. Otherwise, the Sleigh would get far too full.

Sainsburys oddly enough. They advertised a specific brand of turkey quite heavily. So the people I live with ordered one as their daughter was visiting.

They didn't have one. The substitute was neither of similar size or free range. At the same time they attempted delivery, guess what advert came on the telly?

It was quite... an interesting evening watching them panic.
  • Play.com and Zavvi.

DD ordered from both end of Nov for her SO as it was exactly what he wanted, so she ordered 2 just incase one was late and she was going to keep the other one for herself( some game thing:confused:) . Both said in stock and would deliver in 5-7 days. One still hasn't arrived and she got an email from the other on 23rd Dec saying out of stock. She has cancelled and req refund from both - so far no refund or delivery. Also no way to get it in town as everywhere sold out. :(
    Put the kettle on. ;)

My kids still believe me that I have to help Santa out getting stuff (been caught a couple of times:o)
But Santa has the final decision on delivery....after consultation with mum.

Don't ask me how but it DOES work.

They obviously really want to believe...thank goodness.

Back to thread....I've been really lucky this year and if I could I would post a pic of my VERY lush HDN courier.....mmm mmm mmm. He was VERY busy with Mr M&S's glitches:rotfl:.

Also big thanks to RM ...I posted two parcels lateish, cheapest parcel post possible, and both arrived next day....one somerset and one inverness. Also had three first class parcels arrive from Inverness the next day. Despite Inverness having had this weather, and worse, for weeks:j
Special thanks to Postie Kate, you know why, I hope you enjoyed the port and mints.

Almost had a failure with M&S personalised cards when one Granny got the card and the other didn't  They re-sent that day and arrived two days later...phew.

One smallish firm couldn't deliver before Christmas, and have already taken the money (end Nov) but I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt because they emailed to say stock problem till January (not overly impressed that without any prompting they said they'd send a woolie hat as a sweetener......and then didn't:rolleyes:). But I will allow for the fact that they're not huge and give them another couple of weeks to impress me.
Not just a sucker for sweeties..:o

I once woke up when my dad was putting present to my room. He told me some story about how Santa had got confused and delivered them into the wrong room, and I believed him!
