Which company has let you down this Christmas?

Given that it's now almost Christmas Eve and getting to the point of no return for deliveries I thought it would be interesting to see which High Street/Online company or Courier has let people down badly this year. I'm thinking of late/missing deliveries and orders confirmed then goods advised as out of stock etc etc
I've been fortunate this year, still missing a Figleaves parcel dispatched on 15th Dec but it's not for a gift so there's no great drama there however really curious to know what others have found.....................

tesco entertainment "lost" a whole DVD box set in the post. I got a refund but that was little consolation as it was half the price of anywhere else so I couldn't afford to buy a replacement.
am waiting for an Adams order that has been dispatched but I only ordered it on 50% off day so wasn't expecting it in time for xmas.
Apart from that not too bad.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
Ordered Nintendo We Sing from Zavvi on 2nd December and was told at time it would be despatched in 3 days. After checking on order, found that item was out of stock. Received an e mail saying it was on its way 10 days ago but still nothing.0

Ordered something from e2save on next day delivery. I then got an email saying it was out of stock, but I'd have it within 7 days. It hasn't been delivered and it's still showing as out of stock when I log into check my account.
The frustrating thing is it doesn't tell you it's out of stock and they promise next day delivery when you order it, and it's still showing as in stock.
Thankfully it's not a Christmas present.
Also been let down by an ebay seller who promised dispatch within 1-2 working days on an item ordered on 3rd Dec. He's a dropshipper and he kept fobbing me off with excuses until he finally confessed that he didn't know when the drop shipping company were getting it back in, so he'd refund me. Thankfully I managed to get the item ordered and delivered within a couple of days from Firebox as it is for a Christmas present. Here I go again on my own....0 -
Received everything on time, but one item was faulty.
Really hoping they'll refund without a fuss (because I now need to buy a replacement pressie!) but if not, at least I ordered using a VISA.
One dud order out of loads isn't bad though.0 -
Studio cards failed to deliver a parcel ordered on 23rd Nov but billed me for it. took ages for them to trace parcel It was never delivered to me.0

No problems at all this year. I got my last thing from Play today which I was getting a bit worried about but apart from that everything has been fine.
I've just been speaking to some people where I used to work, they are a white goods delivery firm and they are getting worried about some of tomorrows deliveries now it's been snowing hard again in some parts of the country. If At First You Don't Succeed, Call It Version 1.00 -

It was only my christmas present to me, but they took a while to tell me it was out of stock, and haven't refunded me yet as it always seems to take longer that way.Murphy's No More Pies Club #209

Play.com waited over 1 and a half weeks before dispatching something (even though it was 'in stock' and 'usually dispatched within 24 hours') cutting it really, really close to christmas, but thank god it arrived!Male.

I've used Play for years (when it used to be play247.com selling R1 DVDs), they used to be 100% efficient, if it said in stock it was posted next day every time.
Now if it says in stock it's random whether it gets posted after 2, 3, 4, 5 or more days.
In the last year I've had about 3 incorrect items too.
I get the feeling that they have maybe become just too big and instead of being excellent at selling one thing they have become mediocre at selling everything.
Having said the above, I still use them, just not for anything I'm in a hurry for.Dogs have owners...my cat has slaves...0
