Which company has let you down this Christmas?

Of course you can, the customer always being right. It is not your fault the checkout person is being awkward is it?
It was more their system wouldn't let it go through, she did have a go for me but said they'd had lots of problems with them, however, I thought there would be lots of complaints online if that was the case nationwide  Have emailed Sainsbury's but nothing back yet.0 -
Bought parents in law a membership on 29th October for the year for a Christmas present.
3 phone calls - 3 supposed deliveries and still nothing - no membership cards book or free gift! the funny thing is I have received my cashback through Quidco too.
They say they are using a courier to deliver but dont track the deliveries - what's the point?
I handed my in laws a print off of the apology as a pressie on Christmas Day - not very impressive really - but there you go!
Still waiting to hear from them!0 -

Studio cards once Delivered a parcel by throwing it over my backyard wall. It wasn't for me. It was for the folk in the flat upstairs!0 -
Hi Custardy,
Yes, I told them how fanatstic staff at the delivery branch were in getting it to me. I also filled in a 'nominate helpful staff' form at my local store. Yeah, overkill or what.
BUT - couple days ago staff phoned from there saying card problem (and I hadn't seen the money disappear from my account yet) so gave them details again. I had to call the bank to check no card problem, which there wasn't. Twenty minutes later the same order turned up at the door. MIGHTY confused by now I explained and didn't take delivery.
Later - just as was desperately working on a scary essay deadline and had no time to spare - they phoned again, asked if I'd refused delivery and said they'd refund card. I had no time to start trying to explain all again. You can't call that store directly and I'm not sure I can even get it sorted out. I will contact them and won't use the vouchers. And I don't think I'll ever order online just before Xmas again.
Aaaaargh .:wall:Finally Debt Free (£8k to zero) yay! :j :j

Thorntons... Ordered two of the chocolate figures, one came damaged one came without icing. Admittedly, the delivery happend reasonably quick - and when i rang the call centre they did take note, and the lady i spoke to was interested (or seemed to be). It was so late in the day, their christmas stuff was all but sold out so i couldn't have replacements sent to me, the lady i spoke to did take time to ring several local stores to arrange some alternative products for me, told the store i was coming and what to ice them with, so on a busy day before xmas i wasnt stuck in a shop for ages... also got to keep the broken chocolates (made a lovely feast on xmas eve
) and she was very apologetic... so both positive and negs really!

Another vote for Play, yes it arrived in time, but the box looked like it had be kicked across the depot! Thankfully the photo printer worked okay, but as it was a present the box looking like that was dissapointing, the packaging was just a plastic bag!:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:0

Amazon... ordered an item that said it would be due around 24th Dec - wasn't a big deal if it was a few days late so we ordered. On the 21st I got an email to say it was now due Jan-Feb! I cancelled and made a special trip to find a similar CD...
I wanted to order several things from them, but the delivery time for items that were apparently in stock was pitiful. Every other company I ordered from beat them hands down. A set of scales I ordered from the marketplace arrived in 2 days - a CD ordered on the same day arrived in just over a week.My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
Currys - were supposed to deliver a dishwasher on Christmas Eve for my parents Christmas present and phoned in the morning to say it hadn't been loaded.
This was a joint present between me & my sisters so it's going to be rubbish to only have a picture of the dishwasher to give them
Further to my previous post I would just like to add that Currys have been absolutely fantastic in resolving this problem and as it turned out it was lucky that they didn't deliver before Christmas because I'd ordered the wrong type of dishwasher.
10/10 for customer service :T0 -
Lipsy; STILL waiting for the dress I had ordered for my Christmas party, which I then thought I could wear for a new years get together....but nope...And then it costs me a fortune to ring them as they never reply to emails AND there is no landline number listed for them on saynoto0870.com0
