Many thanks chartwise - I too have fallen for the 2 trial offer scam of Clean Whites & everbright smiles. Have not yet reached the end of the 'trial periods' ie 15 and 10 days respectively. Having now read all your posts I have just phoned the UK number of everbrights and got email confirmation of them having cancelled my order - here is the content.

As it says here: http://strangelyperfect.tv/6568/dangerous-effectivecleanse-and-scams-too/
"If you think you’ve had your bank ‘cleaned out’ by any of a multitude of ‘life cleanse’ or ‘colon cleanse’ type internet scams [or teeth whitening scams], there is only one real remedy…
Ask for a charge-back against the company through you credit card company. Your reason, when asked, is that the company has either:
- Not adhered to their own claimed ‘Terms and Conditions’ or
- The company cannot be contacted through their advertised channels
Source: http://strangelyperfect.tv/6568/dangerous-effectivecleanse-and-scams-too/
If they make contact difficult and/or fail to deliver the product and/or fail to honour cancallation requests - you are entititled to and should insist upon a chargeback - it's your money, they stole it by deception and you have the right to get it back.
Also I am still seeing ads online for the everbright smiles scam and the tracking links are via an affiliate network called Copeac (Intermark Media):
So if you want to know how to get in contact with everbright try contacting Copeac /Intermark and asking them! If you do you might also want to ask them why they are promoting something which is so clearly a scam!?

Hi
I've also been dragged into this whole mess. I ordered trials from clean whites and my ever brite smile. I have managed to get hold of both companies and have received emails from both as follows:

I really would advise you to cancel your cards. If you gave credit card number it is not to much of a problem just call issuer. If you have not had any money taken from you account let the bank know and give them a copy of the e-mails you have received. I personally would not trust them. I have charged back sucessfully. As for further charges yesterday I had an e-mail from clean whites saying that they had authorised a refund of U$112.92 however the charge on my statement was in Singapore dollars ! Called the bank and told them the guy said yeah right like that is going to happen.0 -
I have had money for both trials taken out of two different accounts, one for each trial. How do i go about getting a refund? Can i cancel my cards before getting a refund? What about the section in the second email relating to some kind of fraud database for those who charge back?0

Ignore it. BS and empty threats from the scammers to try and stop people asking the card companies for chargebacks. There is no such "fraud database" - the only person who will be flagged for fraud as a result of too many chargebacks will be the scammers who may have their merchant accounts frozen by Visa or Mastercard - a good thing as it (at least temporarily) stops them from charging/scamming people!"The happiest of people don't necessarily have the

Wow... What a scam.
I've tried many of the phone numbers, most no longer in use.
Those that had an answer it was out of business hours.
Have emailed to all the addresses hope that works will be phoning again in the morning.0 -
I am in the same position as yourself. I managed to cancel Cleanwhites but Everbright Smiles has been a wild goose chase. Yesterday i managed to get through to the customer service number stated on everbrights terms and conditions 001 877 683 3080 (try around 2.30pm UK time) However, the company then told me they had no record of my name or email address!! I have no record of my order number. The girl who answered then told me i was calling a company called xmbrand - so i am guessing this is a call centre used for various companies. I asked for an email address but was told they couldnt pass it on due to secuirity reasons. I was also given an address in Florida for Everbright Smiles;
3609 N 29th Avenue
Hollywood, Florida
33020
USA
I now do not know who is taking money from my account. But it is without doubt connected to this scam - who are the Company who have taken money from your account?? A company called smilekit took £78.00 for Cleanwhites. Another Company called Caleigh Harbour llc (impossible to contact) took a further £153.00 from my account - i assumed this was Everbright. Good Luck hope you get somewhere !0 -
The girl who answered then told me i was calling a company called xm brands - so i am guessing this is a call centre used for various companies. I asked for an email address but was told they couldnt pass it on due to secuirity reasons. I was also given an address in Florida for Everbright Smiles;
XM Brands have been mentioned before. Many complaints and problems linked to them, see:
http://www.google.co.uk/#hl=en&source=hp&q=xm+brands
XM Brands scam - they are the umbrella company who 'sell' the products, their list of scam products includes the usual suspects: Acai, Colon Cleanse, Resveratrol, teeth whitener and some work from home scam garbage:
http://www.xmbrands.com/
http://sfholidays.blogspot.com/2009/11/scam-alert-xm-brands-refused-to-give-me.html
BBB lists Everbright Smiles as one of the dba names* of XM Brands:
(*'doing business as' names)
http://www.seflorida.bbb.org/Business-Report/XM-Brands-Inc-92013738
XM Brands scam
XM Brands (Everbright Smiles) are based in Florida and the Florida Attorney General is currently investigating them: http://www.myfloridalegal.com/lit_ec.nsf/investigations/E2B4046B28E10B148525768C005B8E6C
I am sure the investigators in Florida would find it very helpful to hear from anyone who has been scammed:
Economic Crimes Division
Office of the Attorney General
1515 N. Flagler Drive, Suite 900
West Palm Beach, Florida USA 33401
Telephone: 00 1 561-837-5000
Or you can use the online form here:
http://myfloridalegal.com/Contact.nsf/Contact?OpenForm&Section=Economic_Crimes
(Fill it in (takes 5 minutes) then scroll down and click submit)
That way your name will also be on the list for refunds if the Florida Attorney General orders them to refund the people they ripped off (which has happened with other companies in the past, eg: Acai)
If you can remember the website which led you to the scam (probably a fake news site or fake blog: eg single mom teeth whitening trick) then give that info to the Florida Attorney General too as they are trying to track down the people who are putting up the fake blogs/news sites and ads which are affiliate sites promoting this scam."The happiest of people don't necessarily have the
best of everything; they just make the best
of everything that comes along their way."
