  • Oh my lord!!

My heart is thumping so much!!

The big boys at the *quango I work with* want to come and meet with us on Tuesday for us to prove that what we said in our tender was true. As long as they are happy that we weren't telling porkies (which we weren't) then we will be awarded the contract in Mid-Feb!!

Not celebrating yet, and it could still be a long time yet - some of the ladies here weren't even mummies yet when the initial decision was due (8th November) but it is all looking VERY positive!!

    Mini YAY!!

I actually heard that they were coming to see us a few days ago but I didn't dare believe it until I just received an official meeting agenda now!!

    Scared!!!

Krystal - We have had lots of dealings with the CSA and I can honestly say they are a nightmare. We found out in Oct that not only had OH's son left college and was working full time but he also didnt live at home. We reported his ex to the csa but they told us the if she was claiming CB we had to pay. They advised us to report her for benefit fraud which we did in oct and heard nothing.

Oh stopped his direct debit in Dec and we get a phone call this week to find out why?? So what I did this week was find out ex's phone number and rang her pretending to be from a government agency to see if her son was still in full time education. She answered all my 'security questions' and then eventually admitted he didnt go to college and what would happen to her for claiming:eek: I told her to ring the csa and CB to say she wasnt entitled and they would make her pay back the money. I cannot believe if the fraud dept had made this phone call back in Oct we would have had it all sorted by now! Have informed CSA of this and they were ringing her this week so just waiting for an update. Oh is so annoyed that hes paying her £200 a month for nothing

Good luck MFD - keep us updated - how exciting for you :)

As a rule they don't... The only thing I can think of is child benefit, I don't know any other way really... Maybe someone else will know... <ahem>3<ahem>

    And she appears. :D

Hmmmm - i'm not sure. CSA have access to Child Bens and Tax credits systems, as well as the central benefits database that has everyone who's ever claimed anything on it. But I think they're meant to use the name they have on record unless you have asked them to change it in their records.

Does Aimee have your name now?, or your old name? That could cause a lot of problems if they send a letter to him putting Aimee down as another name? Not like legal trouble, but the change of a childs name is something that winds men up!

    (((Hugs))) Weezl - I hope you're napping.
I always think that the hormonalness (did I just make up a word?) of pregnancy is something nobody warns you or tells you about. I, and more so OH was quite shocked when I was pregnant and turned nuts! :o

Thought i'd tell you all something funny.
My DD came down last night, very late with a pained expression on her face.
    Me - What's wrong?
DD - I'm not telling you.
    Me - Well I can't help then.
DD - No, you'll laugh at me.
    Me - I won't laugh, I promise. What's wrong?
    DD - No, you'll laugh.
    Me - I promise.
DD - I'm really really ded constipated!
    Me - :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    I'm such a rubbish mummy!

This morning she said 'I can't go to school, what if I need to do a big fart in class'. :rotfl: ( I told her to tell Miss to pull her finger).

CSA have to keep working as long as CB is in payment. The fraud department belong to the benefits agency and have nothing to do with CSA - and are notoriously rubbish!

CSA staff do tons of fraud referrals - and i'd say 50% of them disappear into a black hole at the Bens agency.

But she will have to pay it back, and OH will get a refund of what he's paid since he shouldn't have been. :j
