Hmmmm - i'm not sure. CSA have access to Child Bens and Tax credits systems, as well as the central benefits database that has everyone who's ever claimed anything on it. But I think they're meant to use the name they have on record unless you have asked them to change it in their records.

Does A have your name now?, or your old name? That could cause a lot of problems if they send a letter to him putting A down as another name? Not like legal trouble, but the change of a childs name is something that winds men up!

Would the letter he have say 'You have to pay KRYSTALTIPS £xxx' Or 'You have to pay A £xx'?

She has my married name at school and swimming and anything else I put her name down for now... I haven't changed it officially, we're going to get round to hubby adopting her sooner or later now we've done our 12months married and her name will be changed then... Although I did try and change it with the Drs after I changed my name and they wouldn't... Stoopids... I expect he'll come crawling out of the woodwork for five minutes though as soon as we get the ball rolling... :rolleyes:

I think it's because we left it later than we did the first time... Instead of trying to force them before they're ready, they obviously just developed the right reflexes in their own time... (Maybe you should try him with a straw? ) Oh and Caitlyn 'gets' the Amadeus cup too!!!

Weezl - for the short term it probably won't mean much to my working week but it will mean more money as I will officially be 'A Consultant' I could potentially do less hours for the same money and might introduce at least one early afternoon a week if I can

I have a question about BLW, thanks loads for all the recent posts about it especially to susan for sharing Alice's first tastes diary

If like us, some of your meals are not suitable finger food (shepherdless pie, lasagne, cous cous, soup etc etc...) would a true BLWer not give those flavours yet? I tried smearing it on toast or a rice cake, but I then don't feel fergie is experiencing eating the normal diet, and also toast and rice cakes are worse for his perennial constipation issues than sloppier meals IYSWIM?

Any thoughts?

A dedicated RL mummy friend is baking breadstick tye things to include all of the sloppy stuff so that it's still finger food, but I agree with MFD that BLW feels like it should be less about anxious mummies having to do lots of extra tasks!

Weezl, I tend to give LO a small bowl of runny things and let him help himself, or I load the spoon for him. When he is feeling lazy (or I don't feel up to the mess) I'll help him spoon feed. Or dip crackers in the sauce.

Thanks for the link Krystal. I think I'll pass on finding out more information

I phoned Care Coordinator yesterday and she wasn't any help. I phoned again today as I'm worse and she had a go at me for leaving it till Friday afternoon! She is due to phone back at 3pm and after that I won't contact her again. I think I'm going to have to request a new Care Coordinator.

I find if I only put a small amount in the bowl, there is less mess. If he has a whole big bowl he gets a bit excited and hands go everywhere. If it is a little bowl he tries to get it in his mouth. He usually tries with the spoon, then hands when frustrated.

I've got a oilcloth table cloth on the floor and he sits there. He is quite good at not making a huge mess. He fed himself quiche at lunch an only rubbed a bit of it on himself!
