Cos it's too icy for them to get the lorry down the streets. They didn't come last week either so I have a full wheelie bin, a black bag in my blue bin just cos there's nowhere else it can go and I have 3 bin bags by the back door - I'll take these 3 down there.
They said we can put extra bags out next week when they do collect but I don't want to put too many out cos they have dirty nappies in and the cats will probably get at them!

Big hugs to you AF - I feel awful saying about Jack going down on his own but I do know how hard it can be.

its been 4 weeks since they collected our bins. when i rang yesterday again!!! to complain i told them if they were not collected today they would get all the bags full of stinking nappies on the council steps!!!! hopefully with the snow/ice thawing in the rain they will come today. I'm waiting till 1pm and then its war!!! gonna ring the bbc/grananda/radio and kick off!!!
I know that some of you are close to Manchester, have you seen this?

I have a question, I remember a while ago someone talking about a book designed for you to read to your bump, it was from amazon I think

Does anyone know what its called?

Its just OH likes talking to bump but I think he feels silly sometimes cos he doesnt know what to say, so I think having something to read would be good?

    Any suggestions?

I don't know the specific book, but could you just get him to read a kids story book/poems? I read Whinnie the Pooh to my bump :)

    Hi again,

I'm feeling really down today and yesterday.

I think it's tiredness (been up since 3.30) the weather and hormones. But it's manifesting as tearful overwhelmedness, financial anxiety and questioning myself, friendships and relationships :(

might try to see if I can ask someone to have F a little while this afternoon so I can sleep...

    xxx

Poor you. I'm not surprised you are weepy being up at 3:30. Can you take him into your bed at naptime? I find Izzy sleeps for longer if I do that, so if I need to sleep too it is sometimes the way to go :)

we have thought about that :D

    hi lady,

last night was my first night of doing a 'routine' with all intentions of sticking to it. i am going only the lines of gradual withdrawal with a bit of cc thrown in (in terms of not letting her push me around as to what she wants to be doing - ie. going to sleep in my arms or in my bed, although i never leave her inthe room on her own when she is crying)

by golly it was hard, but i got through it and will be doing the same tonight with a few slight tweaks so not as to confuse her.

Well done you. Just remember you are Mummy and in charge :)

after i went to bed last night, she went through to 3.10am. i managed to get her to settle herself without too much of a problem. she then went through to 5.30am. as she normally wakes up around 6ish and has some of a bottle, i decided to let her have her bottle then. i did that and she was again awakish when i put her down and she then woke herself up at 7.30 am.

That's not TOO bad then. Keep a note of where you are now, and then you will really see how much you have improved by this time next week.

i am wondering, should i do the story after the bottle so that she is more awake when i put her in the cot or whether to do the book before the bottle and just not let her go off as much on the bottle as i did last night.

she wont have a bar of me trying to hold her hand or put my hand on her chest when she is crying. she just pushes me away.

i am hoping she doesnt hate me as when i said to her this morning 'kisses for mum' i got a nice open mouth kiss straight on the lips :T

aw. Of course she won't hate you. Just remember she is just cross because she isn't getting her own way. I suspect that is something we are all going to have to get used to for at least the next 18 years ;)

On a different note, Izzy received some size 9-12 tights for christmas, which she has donated to the fairys as they won't fit for long. PM me if they are any use to you.

Three fairy packages were sent today, I can't even remember who I sent them too, but they should turn up soon hopefully!

We've not had a bin collection for three weeks and I've got masses and masses of recyling in the kitchen. Because I'm totally reliant on online shopping for things, I end up with a lot of packaging, and usually fill my extra large recycling bin in two weeks, so now it is all piled up in the kitchen. Got two bin bags next to the bin too. Fingers crossed for next Thursday, hopefully they will manage. At least they update the council website twice a day, giving decent updates on the situation.

glad you like it (sorry for making you cry)

    have a lovely nap

    we'll miss you

    xxxx

feelie - hope you get a collection soon. thankfully around our way we have had ours collected once during the snow so it hasn't been too bad.

in one of your earlier posts you were giving out hugs to all that needed (me included) so i wanted to send some back to you.

ladybird - thanks for your comments. they are very useful as you to are obviously ahead of me at the minute so i read them with interst.

i am going to copy out my posts about her sleeping and again if i post tonight so i can see where we are at.

i know she doesn't like not getting her own way as she is used to that (especially with me).

We have rain, and lost of it!! Yay for rain :T
I completely agree, yay for rain!!! Not that it matters to me... No school run today, woohoo!!!!

Thanks for the link to the ofsted thing Kindof... I just looked at the 3 schools in our area and Aimee's is the best one by far, I'm glad about that... :D

Weezl, to echo everyone else, we're all here for you :) If I was close enough I'd take Fergie for a couple of hours... But I agree with Ladybird, babies tend to sleep a bit longer if they're in bed with you...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
