  • Hiya AF - same thing again tonight is the only way I am afraid. She is bound to be resistant and cry because she wants things to be how she wants them.

If you are definitely trying to separate bottle from sleep then maybe a bottle and then a quiet read when she is sleepy is the way forward? Or would it wake her up again?

    LOL!! I'm lots of use aren't I!!

I do agree with csh though, when Benjamin is tired he doesn't want a bar of me, he just wants to be left alone....but not 'alone' alone LOL.

We have never mastered patting either, and he only wants to hold my hand when he wants to IYSWIM.

sorry AF I meant to come on last night when my neighbour popped round with it (our letterbox is a wee bit wee!) and say a huge thank you, but then I got a bit down and preoccupied :(.

I am very grateful though, and impressed that your fairies have piccies of your Avatar on their labels :p

of dont apologise, i just wondered if they had found you in these weather conditions.

hehehe at pic. i was trying to find something 'fairy' orientated to put on the label. i have a thing about nice things with wings :D

i really do not like the thought of you being down. you are an amazing mum and wife and growing another gorgeous wee one and that is absolutely brilliant no matter what else.

    Hi again,

I'm feeling really down today and yesterday.

I think it's tiredness (been up since 3.30) the weather and hormones. But it's manifesting as tearful overwhelmedness, financial anxiety and questioning myself, friendships and relationships :(

might try to see if I can ask someone to have F a little while this afternoon so I can sleep...

    xxx

    Hiya Weezl

((hugs)) and I think it would be a great idea for you to catch up on some sleep.

It is probably hormones and tiredness combined plus the fact that it is getting very close to the arrival of Kester and I know I myself have been wondering how things are going to work out here.

Hey, yesterday on the way to Chester dh wanted to take a short cut, from the retail park to my mums area of Chester, I burst into tears absolutely sobbing my heart out because I wasn't 100% sure of the route he wanted to take:o:rotfl: Does that make you feel an better:p

Hiya AF - same thing again tonight is the only way I am afraid. She is bound to be resistant and cry because she wants things to be how she wants them.

that fine, because i know i have to get this sorted for her benefit so will be tackling it again tonight.

If you are definitely trying to separate bottle from sleep then maybe a bottle and then a quiet read when she is sleepy is the way forward? Or would it wake her up again?

that's my biggest fear is letting her wake up 'too' much. that's what i worry about when she is crying in the cot and why i have always picked her up or fed her because i never want her to wake up too much.

    LOL!! I'm lots of use aren't I!!

    you always help :D

I do agree with csh though, when Benjamin is tired he doesn't want a bar of me, he just wants to be left alone....but not 'alone' alone LOL.

LO is like that when she is stressy (like last night when i wasn't letting her stay out of the cot for too long) and why she kept pushing my hand away

We have never mastered patting either, and he only wants to hold my hand when he wants to IYSWIM.

so, will think about it today and see if i want to move the story around but that is the only think that i might tweek. oh that and add the nursey rhyme 'teddy bear teddy bear' after i found the words in one of her books last night
    xx

thank you all so much, what nice friends on here!:T

The friend I asked to help has texted back that she can't today. My other possible has done her back in badly.

So I think I'll try a bit of that sleep while the baby sleeps thingie and see if Fergie will (fingers crossed) have a long nap :)

anyone want a grouchy baby that has only just now slept since his feed at 1:30am?

think he must be able to read, as they say there's a growth spurt at 3 weeks, which he is exactly today, as he wanted nothing but massive quantities of booby all evening and night.

hugs to AF - it might be hard now, but when you want to give up just remember the reward of getting her into a good nighttime routine that can last you through the next several years

Weezl, what GISI said...don't feel too bad, as so much of it is the pregnancy hormones! I still can't imagine being 3rd trimester and looking after a 10-month-old, even though that may be me one day...you're awesome and there's NOTHING wrong with having a lazy day where you get nothing productive done.

    for weezl
    Don't cry little angel,
Your heart is in good hands.
    You'll go the distance,
    You'll travel distant lands.
    Don't worry little angel,
    Your tears will soon disappear.
You'll kill the pain and stand
    With out fear.
    Don't run little angel,
    I won't let you down.
With my caress, and all the faith,
    You'll forget how to frown.
    Keep standing little angel,
Because I won't let you fall.
Believe it, I was there with
    Just one call.
    Don't hide little angel,
    There's no need to conceal.
    Don't fear what your thinking,
    Don't fear what you feel.
    Just sing little angel,
Let heaven hear the voice it made.
    Your melody is strong,
    Your harmony won't fade.
    You can laugh little angel,
    You just don't forget.
    Laughing heals the soul,
No one's proven me wrong yet.
    So smile little angel,
    Release your beauty from within.
    Destroy the past,
    Let the future begin.
    So don't cry little angel,
    Because you can already see.
    You can always and forever,
    Forever count on me
