    Afternoon all,

Haven't really had much of a chance to catch up.

Searching - how are your lessons going?? I know one was cancelled with the snow. Really wish I could follow your led, but have such a phobia about driving (and i have a licence)

Elle - woo hoo on the blood tests for rhys. brilliant news. saw that you have an important chat tomorrow. hope it all goes well. let us know what cake you bake if you get a chance :D

MFD - toasted sandwich....i LOVE them. i kept saying about getting a sandwich maker at work before i left on ML and now you have me thinking again

Oh oh oh.. I've just opened a letter from Rhys' doctor.. Out of the about 14 things they test when he has the mega blood tests, all but two have come back normal :D Woohoo! :j

Right.. really must get dressed :o

    OMG!!! YAY :T:T:T

Am I wrong to ask which ones didn't come back normal? I am wondering if these results change the future in terms of potassium levels etc.

SS - you are my hero!!

How much worse for me is a toasted sandwich as opposed to beans on toast?

sami can i ask .. do you get any discounts with driving an automatic?? im still gonna learn with stick shift but if i found a cheap car that was automatic just wondering if there was any plus points to it x
nope they are usually more expensive as the basic models are manual, they also can be less eco(use more petrol) as you don't control what gear you're in/the revs
only plus point is pure laziness :D
Will you do me a favour and check out the number of zero's in your sig - it keeps catching my eye!!!

Can somebody persuade me that a toasted sandwich is not a good idea. I really need to lose some of this baby weight but the sandwich toaster is calling me, begging me to switch it on!!!
what about my lower fat version?
toast bread in toaster, melt cheese in microwave and pour off the fat that seperates then spread cheesey goodness on toast mmmmm!

Urea and serum creatinine.. raised levels of. Creatinine should be 60-70 and it's 92, but it was 420 at it's worst ;) No bad levels of calcium or potassium, electrolytes are fine, thyroid is fine, normal full blood count with a Hb level of 14.4 when it should be 12ish so we can probably reduce his jab a bit. Will find out more when we see consultant on Monday.

Really am going to get dressed now... :p

oh bless you. when i did mine it was winter back home and my test was even in the rain, school leaving time at that, so loads of school buses around.

i just did the worse thing though, got my licence to keep my mum quiet (as she didn't get hers until she was in her 30s and didnt want me doing the same), but then i never got a car. I lived 5 mins from the train to go to uni and 5 mins from the bus to go to work and it was only a cheap taxi fare to work if needed.

Thanks for reminding me about that - I've got rid of it completely as I have no chance of doing 3 situps this year let alone 20,000!!!!!!!!!
I WILL DO THE EXERCISE 3 TIMES A DAY THOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Going to do WiiFit when I return from the sorting office - no idea what I'm picking up though! Jst waiting for Jack to wake up from a powernap so we can go and nip to ASDA I want eggs to make bread and butter pudding with the stale bread I've got left.

    Great news Elle and Rhys!!!

AF - I asked you if you raised the bed for LO's reflux and if so by how much and what did you use?
I think the Gaviscon might be working so might not need to raise it but would like to know for future.

MFD - would depend what you were putting in toasted sandwich. WHy not have beans? :p

oh he's awake so nipping out then getting fit! :rotfl:
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

one of my driving tests was cancelled due to icy roads - so stupid as there wasn't anything like there is now and it was totally safe to be out driving

I've been sent pig flu jab apps for the boys 25th Jan - and so I'm mulling it over AGAIN!
