How is everyone? I've not had a chance to catch up. Missed anything exciting?

Tia - how exciting! Do you have a big choice of schools?

Jillie - I got cheap Silicone ones from Tesco for £1. They do the job, although I seem to have sticky breastmilk! I found the plastic cheap on I had worked better. But personally, I like lego shaped breastmilk cubes!

MFD - well done on a good night! Toby slept through but in a wriggly way, so I had a bit of a disturbed night. He only feeds 1-2 times a night now.

Elle - have fun and feel free to let me have some cake for you.

Home start Lady is due soon, think this might be the last time, I might ask for a different volunteer or give it up all together. She is a lovely lady, but I don't feel she has any understanding of mental health problems. Care-coordingator said I should ask her to go for a walk with me, but I don't feel I can ask that - my needs are far too complex and embarrassing for a volunteer to deal with.
    Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.
  • Ice cube trays -I bought a load of rigid ones from a cheapy shop, think I got about 4 for £1 or something like that. I then cut them into sections of 2 cubes. I'll fill as many as I have food for and then just get them out and defrost them whenever, saves fighting with the whole tray, or transferring them elsewhere once frozen.

I still use them now at 10 months for fruit for porridge, so easy!

Buttons- I always get sore ears, I get that horrible feeling on the eardrum like a burning ache, however I've got scarred ears too from a bad infection when I was wee so don't know what its like for a normal person lol
I've got an array of hats, a pink one with kitten ears is my current fave by DD goes mental when I wear it out, can't imagine why :D

See it tends to just be one of my ears that gets it bad but it seems to spread to the normal ear! I have scar tissue and a tiny percent of hearing loss in one ear because I had a bead stuck in my ear for god knows how many years

I obviously poked it in as a kid, and would explain the 8 a year ear infections I got, I only found out because I got a bit of chicken gristle stuck in a salivary gland, so everytime I ate, my cheeks/neck filled up with spit, looked like a hamster! That was when I was 16 and the first time I had been to the doctor since I was 5, I used to be healthy, now I'm never bleemin' away from the Doctors! Anyhoo, he !!!!!! himself when he looked in my ears and was like "OH! WOW! You have a pink elephant in your ear!" I was like......"Wut?"

Long story short, I had to go to ENT to get it removed as it was so far down and it was such a funny thing to be in your ear that all the students were coming in for a look and a laugh, and I was laying there mortified! So some scar tissue in that ear, probably all the ear infections and gross paint from the bead!

Oh and he got the gristle out my gland by slapping me on the side of the neck :rotfl:

This is why I won't let Keira have beads in any shape or form, they are just too attractive to poke in holes, I remember poking beads up my nose and snorting them out, competition with my sister to see who could shoot them the furthest :D

Jillie, good news if he gets the support he needs in place before he goes. But considering that this week is registration week....

Feelie, it's down to 2. Our local, which I'm not happy would fulfil all his needs or another one with an assisted learning needs unit which his OT and SALT would like him to go too.

Dunno... I'm hesitant. ALNU school is going to call me back to arraneg a day to go visit.

Buttons will it make your confession seem less unique if I confess to sticking a bit of scrabble up my nose and blowing it out years later?
