white bread per slice 84 cals 0.6g fat,
    beans 200g can 212cals 6g fat
    cheddar 40g serving 172cals 14.8g fat

It is the process of buttering the bread and putting it in the sandwich toaster to fry that is the fattening bit (as I understand it!)

I don't put much cheese in my toasted sandwich as it just all goos out of the side!

Elle - thanks for that  I understood everything!!

Edit - my driving instructor made a point of taking everyone out in the ice and snow so that we could learn to drive in it safely!

    Hi Everyone

Just looking some opinions on potty training.

I have started this with Darach 2 days now, and he is going ok, no problem and knows what he is doing. The first time, we all clapped and hugged him and I let him pick a sweet from a tin of celebrations.

Then future uses were rewarded with a clap and sweet again. He has used it 6 times today already and im really not keen on giving him anymore sweets, he has had 4!!

Any suggestions on other ways to reward him.

MFD you know you dont actually need to butter the bread at all  always works fine on my mums one from the 80's or do you have that 1cal oil spray, we've used that before we realised its not needed :)

AF - I asked you if you raised the bed for LO's reflux and if so by how much and what did you use?
I think the Gaviscon might be working so might not need to raise it but would like to know for future.

oh sorry glam i must have missed that.

i bought a wedge from wilkinsons (if you google baby wedge reflux you will see what i mean) for £13 or so i think. I just put it under mattress. i am not sure what the incline was, but it wasn't excessive. the doc did say to just put some books under the feet of the cot

i honestly can't say it made a difference as her sleeping issues continue even though reflux is not an issue. so i do not think reflux played any part in her not sleeping.

it's definately worth giving it a try

    Well you did ask! :p

Re: driving in snow, my instructor always took me out in it. I did the driving lesson before a test and the test all in the snow. Not sure it made me a better driver but at least I'd experienced it! She also phoned me up when it was chucking it down with rain and asked if I wanted a "lift" home.. she made me drive in rush hour, in a vertical downpour and made me sit in the middle of crossroads - errr, panic!! _pale_

    Off now.. toodles! x
