Afternoon all,
not had a chance to read everything yet - only just on the computer now. We went out early to go to the shops, and stopped on the way at a shop that has a lovely cafe attached - now, I usually only go in if Elena is asleep, as otherwise she can get rather fussy and want out of the pram. But we chanced it today, and my wonderful little girl not only stayed awake all the time mummy was having brunch, but was quiet all the time, and gave people lovely smiles from behind her dummy :j She then went to sleep all the way around tesco and only woke up when we were almost home, where I am now getting a full conversation from the playmat after having a feed
Though I must say, I was not amused with the state of the pavements around here! It would seem that some irresponsible dog owners decided that as the weather was bad, they didn't have to clear up after their pets, and the pavements were terrible. I was especially unimpressed with the owner(s) who let their dog(s) do their business not only at the end of my driveway, but let their dog come right up the driveway and leave their mess on the little path leading to my front door! I hope its not on the pram wheels.....
Right, going back to catch up properly - am enjoying the conversations on weaning as looking to do this in the next few weeks possibly: the HV did say before christmas (when Elena was about 11 weeks old) that we could start her on baby rice, which we tried a couple of times over the holidays and she seemed to like it. We stopped though when she had a really bad windy day incase it was contributing to it, and will try again when she is a bit older. *hugs* to all who want or need them0 -
What, 6 celebrations is too much
At least your little one is restrained Mrs Moc, if that was Keira she would of snaffled half the tin and hid it down her trousers and pants. Seriously
But yey on successfull peeing in the potty!! Is he poo'ing too?
Why when I wash my hair and make myself look presentable (rare) for nursery, does it bucket down with rain? I give up!!
SM - Have fun with the driving lesson, OH just had his first one in 3 weeks yesterday aswell because of the snow. His instructor wants him to start doing weekends aswell so he gets a feel for day time driving as he has always been out 7pm onwards because of work, and also he should be doing 1hr and a half lessons/2hr, £60 a pop that would be
I should become a driving insturctor, be mega loaded!
Does anyone else get earache when it's cold outside? I always get it, might be something to do with the scar tissue in one ear, but it's sooooo annoying because my ears feel gluey for the rest of the day. I should invest in a hello kitty hat like Keira has!
She demanded I give her "cute" hair this morning, so I put it up in high pigtails, she looks like a little Japanese kid, with her bunchies and her hello kitty tshirt/hat and "glubs" plus she has a bit of the asian blood in her, shame it's not more pronounced cause its bonnie.
Her nursery teacher said she looked like a mini cheerleader.

any i have seen are £4+ for silicone/rubber style is a normal plastic one just as suitable??
Ikea have cheap silicone ones, but I imagine normal plastic ones would be fine. The only problem is it is a little harder to get the ice out.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
Have fun at your first baby group Elle and Rhysy!!!MFD you know you dont actually need to butter the bread at all  always works fine on my mums one from the 80's or do you have that 1cal oil spray, we've used that before we realised its not needed
I can confirm that you can indeed make toasties without butter - but it kind of defeats the object of having a toastie without all that lovely buttery outsideness!! I just keep saying to myself that it is essentially fried bread!! If somebody said 'would you like some fried bread with cheese and ham on top' I would go
And on a parenting note  Benjamin didn't stir between 7pm and 6am last night, and then he went down again between 6.15am and 8.10am!! He was in a lovely mood this morning too! I wish I could start work at 10.30am every day!!please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

Kids over 1m 35cm don't offically need a booster seat.
And did you continue to read and see that i'm swapping this year for a 5dr, 5 seater - and may consider getting my tubes snipped.
Whats 1m 35cm in english? I'm 5'7 and he's probably about 7" shorter than me.searching_me wrote: »YAY for normal rhysyX
