Toby doesn't point at things, I'll have to practice that with him. I feel that I should 'teach' him more - up till now I've just let him get on with things and he learns when he wants. I remember seeing that someone on here said thier baby could sit, so I stuck Toby on the floor and he sat up!

MFD - that is early crawlling! I don't really understand things until Toby does them. He sat at 4 months and crawlled at 7 months. I think he does everything else early to make up for not knowing how to feed!

Feely - from my experience I just get frustrated when I try and 'teach' Benjamin something (he will still only do one 'clap' then he grins and waits for us to cheer ). He is better off doing what he wants when he wants!

He was an early sitter, crawler and stander (pulling himself up) but he seems to have slowed down at the moment. I think it is because he is growing teeth and hair - I swear that they can't do both things at once!!

this bit always makes me giggle (sorry mfd)

LOL - I was gutted that he couldn't point - I didn't even know that it was part of the test :o pushy mom? moi? :o

I was thinking in the shower this morning...for those of you who BF and have injections coming up...apparently if you BF whilst they have their injections then it doesn't hurt baby as much.

It worked for us :D although I won't be doing it for his 12 month jabs (honest guv!!)

Edit - Beenie - Yay for smiles and boo for neighbours. Why would you be banging all the time with a tiny baby??

Whats this probe that you speak of? Kieren had big massive earphones put on then those little electrode things like they use in an ecg on his head to measure the brain activity?

Literally a little thing that they poked into her ear! The headphones would probably have been easier

Just cut Elenas nails for the first time - how scary is that! I've been putting it off as was afraid I'd cut her, but she's been scratching her face and now a bit to close to her eyes for comfort so had to be brave :o

ETA: thats rubbish about the neighbours Beenie! I hope it gets sorted out.

And just to confuse matters, Rhys had both! :p He had little earplug types put in, then had big plastic cups put over the whole of his ears. Passed both 100% so I don't think it was and either/or thing

Is it just me who is excited about the 12 month jab and getting to say he is breastfed? They don't ask after 12 months though :(

I have to do K's nails at least once a week they grow so fast! I hate doing it incase I chop the tip off:eek:

Beenie, I'm sure the council will see that they are just malicious (sp) allegations, they are duty bound to check it out but I wouldn't worry too much x

Beenie, what have they said the noise is?

If both sides are related to each other, the council will know this and you'll be fine.

Apparently both sides have made complaints saying i bang on their walls. I told her when i made the complaint that one night they were being noisy but i was in bed and not dressed so i banged on the wall to express my annoyance.

So i'm assuming this is what they're referring to. And the younger couple sent their chav mate to my door a few weeks ago with an attitude, but i was feeding Amber and the conversation went something like this:

Chav: Is thingy whats'er name there?
    Sister: Who?!
    Chav: Thingy who lives here
Sister: I don't know any "Thingy" but the person who lives here is feeding the baby, can i take a message?
Chav: Hayley said she's not bein' funny like but can u stop the bangin like?
Sister: There is no banging? We're all in the living room eating... And tell Hayley is she taking the p!ss? All we ever hear is their music blasting.
    Chav: *scuttles away*

And they've said my sister "had a go" at them (directly). I want to bloody confront them about this. The council lady said she's going to arrange a meeting with us all at the town hall. Oh that's nice - 5 adults, all related - and me - all fighting our case?? !!!!!!?!

    Hi everyone,

Alex has developed into a cranky, screaming baby, just as i go back to work.
Sunday night was fine, slept until 6am from 10pm (a record). Monday night a nightmare, screaming during the evening, and up at 12pm, 2am , 3a, at 4am i gave up and tried to get him to sleep with me in the spare room. He just kept dozing and then crying. Yesterday, slept alot at the childminders - which has never happened at home with me and then last night totally restless in the evening, lots of crying and wimpering.

He seems to be quite warm, and also has a cough. I had put it all down to teething but not too sure now. Don't know if its because i feel totally guilty about leaving him. But should i take him to the doctors to just be told that he's fine, just give him calpol. (Which i am already doing).

I can see the white of a bottom tooth through his gums and his hand is permenantly in his mouth, poor little boy. Just feel totally crap and helpless now, on top of the cold i have now developed also.

Sorry for the whole "woe is me post". :o Ignore me, just ranting.
