    Happy Birthday Christopher!!

Yay for teeth Ello and Caitlin

Hiya Krystal - where are you hiding?

Go Seth - I think I missed the proper crawling, last time I heard he was still pushing his head along the floor!!

It sounds very similar to you MFD. Bottle first thing, breakfast. Bottle at 10.30 ish before nap. Lunch. Bottle at 3pm is before school run. Dinner then bottle at bedtime.

All bottles are 7oz - not sure what that is in new money! :D

There is a reason that our eating/milk routine is the same as yours
    we copied you :shhh:

I don't read anything so just copy the older mummies on here!!
I mean the mummies with older kids, not the OLDER mummies!!

7oz is roughly 210ml - I use the ml measures because the milk is stronger if you use the oz measures.

I know there are quite a few things I've seen mentioned here that he won't be able to do (MFD mentioned pointing and I think SB mentioned being able to say mama/dada), but hey ho. He's getting visits (with no concerns) from loads of depts already so I can't see him needing any more help than we've already got access too, but we'll go along and nod and smile where necessary :)

Ours is a 9 month check but they check:
    - mobility (can they sit, crawl, stand etc)
    - do they look to see where something has gone if it is dropped
    - can they pass an object from one hand to the other
    - possibly something with 2 objects...can they reach out with both hands and take something off you? She was very impressed that Benjamin took them both and banged them together
    - can they pincer grip (we practiced this with cheerios on his high chair, then they used a little plastic pig at the check - I was terrified Benjamin was going to grab it and eat it!!)
    - can they point (big cross for Benjamin)
    - do they babble (but not asking for specific sounds) Benjamin had been really quiet up to this question, and then he said 'lalaladadadababa' really loudly when she asked the question :rotfl:

Will add to the list as things come back to me.

Then weight, height and head circumference.

Edit - yay for laughing babies!!

Hiya CSH requests for flexible working need to be responded to within 28 days, but if the first meeting does not adequately sort things out, the entire process can take up to 14 weeks. So I'd assume that and work backwards from there?

    Love Weezl x

OMG 14 weeks is Jan 28th!!! Am so depressed now

LOL, have you seen the pic of Rhys in his highchair with the tray on? He can barely see over it, never mind reach up over it to pick up cereal! :rotfl: :o

Is babbling the same as shrieking your head off? He can do both, just prefers the shrieking.. That said, he rarely does it in front of a doc/nurse, just in the waiting room - such a polite boy I have for not interrupting ;) Might have to get the receptionist to vouch for him :p

    Morning all,

happy birthday to Christopher! Hope you have a great birthday :j

I don't think we will be going out today - it's blowing a gale here. Plus I think I went a bit too far yesterday, as after pushing the buggy through all the slush and snow I then decided to clear the driveway - and have woken up with one stiff back and a bit of a sore tummy where I had the section  So taking it easy today!

We can have a chat with the health visitors at the baby clinic: we have to go at least once a month I think until 6 months, after that its up to us how often we want to go. I like being able to get Elena weighed to see how she is doing, and she loves seeing all the other babies :)

I'm trying to find some baby groups near me, as she does seem to be a very sociable baby but so far I'm not having much luck finding anything in my area :( Hopefully I'll come up with something as it would do us both good to get out more.
Elena is currently shuffling around the living room floor on her back and 'talking' at the top of her voice - it still has not lost its appeal for her. Heaven help me now she is mobile ;)

I dont remember if I actually posted that he was doing it or not cos it seemed like old news compared to the other babies when he finally did it :o
He started doing it about 2 weeks ago, and is now a little everywhere monster with a penchant for electrical appliance wires
He does all those things :D who needs a HV check when you have MFD :rotfl:

His pincer grip was practised mostly by grabbing clumps of kitty fur and passing them from hand to hand :o

Oh, and weetabix, I gave him one again this morning but put more milk in it and it swelled, so wasnt as small and therefore no need for another one :o

 I keep clicking reply to write HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRISTOPHER and good luck in your interview ladybird, but get sidetracked!!

Ours is a 12mth check here...it did used to be a 9mth check so must have changed it somewhere between ds2&3.

Is it bad that I don't really take that much notice of his milestones:o I can't even remember exactly when he sat up/crawled/laughed...Bad mummy!!
Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.

Benjamin is usually quiet and polite when we are at the docs / hospital - I think that it is the newness of it all.

Having said that, I won't be taking him with me when I go for my blood tests tomorrow! Have visions of him wrecking the nurses room!

For most of the things she just kind of asked...if I had said that Benjamin could point then she probably would have taken my word for it. I am just too honest :D

Thanks 3 for the csa advice last night, will see if they ring me back, otherwise i'll be applying anyway.

Does anyone know anything about the cold weather payments? The site says 4 have been issued for time period 1st Nov to 12th Jan in my area, so i should get one or two since Amber arrived on 21st Dec? I will ring IS and ask about it, every penny helps - dreading my gas bill although i'm actually in credit for once

Was glad of having the pram to cling onto today takng DS to school, everywhere is like an ice rink, i saw about 4 people thud onto the floor, it didn't look icy it was black ice everywhere cos it's been raining.

Amber's got her hearing test today, what does that involve then? The letter said it's best if baby is asleep

I can track most of Benjamins through FB!!! I know roughly, like he was crawling at 5 1/2 months but that is it.

Apart from his teeth - 15th November 2009 and 1st January 2010 :D It's easy when they only have 2!!
