Beenie - if the council do take it seriously they will put in sound sensors and things, so you've got nothing to worry about.
Re nail cutting- I do Izzy's when we are at the in-laws so there are lots of people to distract her while I do it. If I HAVE to do it on my own then we do it in front of ITNG. That normally keeps her still for long enough.Isabella Molly born 14th January 2009

WM - have you tried teething powders? You can give those as well as calpol. If he is really bad, might be worth giving him baby ibuprofen before bed too? They can have that as well as paracetamol - best to alternate them, so that one is kicking in as the other one is starting to wear off iyswim. I don't think it helps with the temperature, but (for us) it seems to help with the pain a bit more than calpol does.

Yes thanks ladybird. I have tried ashtons powders, no good. And am just coming to the end of a bottle of Anbesol liquid. Am going to go out at lunch and buy both baby paracetamol and ibuprofen and may get the neilson? /nelson? powders to give them a try.0 -
Question for those people with girls? Where does one buy tights from?My_Fathers_Daughter wrote: »Hiya Krystal - where are you hiding?
We're not getting an 8/9/12 month check up... We don't have a health visitor anymore... The nursery nurse that does the well baby clinic said she'd measure her for me next time I go... I haven't been since November... My bad... I think Caitlyn can wave... But she flaps her hands around so much it's hard to tell what was intentional and what was coincidental...
Love my new Dyson, it's so quiet and efficient... I've left it plugged in for when Caitlyn's finished wiping her piece round the carpet...

We have found Nelsons to be more effective than A&P but they are more expensive
Anbesol seems to do some good too, much easier to apply than teething gel which just ends up rolling around on my finger/Benjamin's tongue as I try and rub it on!!
I try to cut Benjamin's nails whilst he is having a nap. It is the only time he will keep still!please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

Is that because you haven't plugged it in yet?
My bad...where has that come from??? Are you down with the kids???please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
We have Nelsons too... It's just what Hubby picked up when I asked him to get some...
I cut her nails when she's in a good mood... She generally holds her hand still for me as I do them...Maybe she remembers the time Mummy nearly severed her finger tip and doesn't want a repeat...
My arms and legs are ever so achey... I think the walk to school and back this morning is just a step to far, it's a right struggle getting the pram back up the hill in the snow... It's unfair that every other school in the area is closed but ours!!!A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls...
