Same with us Fitzio - Molly will smile and silent-laugh like mad, but something has to be utterly hilarious to get a giggle out of her. Babbling and such is fine, though, so I don't know why she doesn't do it.

    Happy birthday Christopher!!

Feelie, I hope you don't mind but I added you on FB :) Feel free to ignore me, it's just a sneaky way of getting to look at that gorgeous little one of yours a lot ;)

Happy Birthday to the gorgeously cute Christopher! :bdaycake:

Good luck Ladybird, Choppy, Feelie, Elle, MM.

Mel – Kai looks so grown up! I agree with MFD that the hair makes them look like proper toddlers. Our baldies still look like babies. And all three are gorgeous boys. Liv did the roman tour of Chester last summer. January is a strange time for the school to take them.

SS – the neighbour sounds like a right nutter! Report him.

GISI – hope your booby club is as nice as MFD’s and you get lovely sandwiches and tea. And Well done to sleepy Henry.

CHS – how cute! Yey for belly laugh babies. :T

Feelie – Don’t send her home! If you don’t want to go out, can you and OH not hide in another room and enjoy a child free cup of tea & chat?

Susan – I have no need or desire to see the HV. But thankfully, she doesn’t seem to have a need or desire to see us either. She only came out once after V was born, and the only other time I’ve spoken to her when V was just under 6 months, she said she’d come out to discuss weaning. I said that we were fine with weaning, and it was going really well. :p Then she told me how dreadful weaning before 6 months is and the problems it causes, I told her my older two had managed to survive it – and I’ve not heard from her since. :D

I probably did see the HV more with DS because he was my first and I thought the HV knew better - but then I got all growed up. ;)

We woke up to quite a bit more snow this morning, sitting nicely on the week old solid ice! I hope the schools manage to stay open this time. This is my first day since before the Christmas holidays where both the bigguns are in school.

MIL is supposed to be coming to take V for a couple of hours this morning so I can make myself beautiful (it may take a while) :o for OH’s Attestation this evening. I was down to a choice of 3 possible dresses, but I tried one on last night and its far too booby! And one of the others is a bizarre fit now. Its a sheer top layer, with a black lining. The lining is tight at the boob area and making my lower boobs flat and pushing them up to my chin! I think I may need to get the scissors out and see what I can do to loosen the lining.

I thought your boobies were supposed to disappear after babies and b/f? Mine appear to have grown!

    Hello everyone else.

When are you thinking of going back to work, Fitz and csh?

Childcare-wise, the plan is that OH will have LO two days a week which will be changable and he will go to nursery or a CM one fixed day a week. However MIL is set to be made redundant and would love to have him one day a week, so who knows?

This is the childcare set up I'm considering as I'll only be doing 3 days, either 3x10 hrs or 2x12hrs and a half day of 6hrs

    Yay to laughing babies:)

Sm - I don't blame you keeping her off if the hill is dangerous to get to the school! They really should have cleared it or gritted it.

Don't know who she is, but don't mind kicking her for you.

You asked about my work situation well here goes: My FT contract is 48hrs, there is NO WAY I'm leaving my baby boy to do back to that! I'm going to request PT contract which is 30hrs but I think they'll say no. I'm then going to ask for PT outwith my own store, if they say no to that, I'll take a demotion to Deputy manager which is just hrly paid. If they get arsey with that they can run up ma ribs and pay me off.

    MY BABY BOY CAN LAUGH!!!!

Hes been doing wee giggles for a few weeks, but last night done a big from the bottom of his feet belly laugh! It was brilliant and only for me! Wouldn't do it again for OH:cool:

Woo hoo! laughing is an excellent skill :) And  to 48 hours. No way jose!

3 - Is he nervous about tonight, I bet you will both have a great time. Yeah I though january was a funny time to do an outside walk, but our school does so many trips that I suppose they run out of days in the summer!

Susan - Apart from with ds1 (and then only in the early days) I never had any need to see a HV and tbh just used to find their visits annoying and intrusive. I have also moved house numerous times and have never had HV wanting to visit me in the new area??

fitz on the group thing im very gaurded round new people it took a year at work before i allowed myself to even start talking properly to people there ... i always think the worse and are yet to be proven wrong by RL friends and family sad as it is ..

how is everyone?? ... mel you have some right little heartbreakers there x

I understand what you are saying SM about being guarded and finding it hard to trust new people, but it’s not like you have a close knit circle of friends just now whom you can rely on and therefore don’t need to let anyone else in. I think you need to give people a chance more despite your bad experiences with your family etc. It must be difficult for you, but there are nice people out there. Anyway, that’s just my opinion. I hope you don’t think I am out of line. It’s just that you seem really nice, but only have Philip to trust in, and you could do with more RL friends. Xx

Hmmmm, not sure when to put the letter in. I really need to read up cos I'm sure theres a time frame and I'm due back first week in May unless I take some holidays.

Hiya CSH requests for flexible working need to be responded to within 28 days, but if the first meeting does not adequately sort things out, the entire process can take up to 14 weeks. So I'd assume that and work backwards from there?

Might be worth adding on a bit of time mentally to preparing your case because I know that there's an onus on the employee to justify the business case for the flexible working being achievable in your context.

    HTH and makes sense,

    Happy Birthday to Christopher_H ;):D:T

enjoy today Elle, I'm sure all the women will be lovely and you'll enjoy it immensely :)

Lady hope interview goes well :T
