Its a regular scone sliced in half and put under the grill to toast it. YummyDS1's best friend who had a fit in our kitchen had another today. As well as being worried for him and his family it's also the end of his dream to join the Airforce. He left Ireland and his Mum last year to live here with his Dad as it's all he's ever wanted, such a shame. All the kids out there with no ambition and he had so much, life's can be carp sometimes!!!
Thats such a shame! Was his second one in your kitchen again or just a second fit somewhere? Is there no way he can do something that allows for his epilepsy (?) ?0 -

I'm back from the nursery. I liked it and so did DH. I prefer it to the other one, not loads but I definitely would liko Caitlin to go to that one over the other one. We're going to make a final decision tonight.feelinggood wrote: »How can you tell if a baby doesn't like a food? Tia - I tried mixing parsnip with mashed potato but she still spat it out :rolleyes:money_maker wrote: »hmmm, yeah there is a mummy on Sunday ..... wonder who that could be

Feely - that's good that the HV is coming out to you.
MFD & SS - Jonathan Creek _pale_
MM - yay to blackberry yoghurt!
Carla's post about BB reminded me...there hasn't been any mention of them on here for a while. Has anyone received anything recently? I tested this and sent my review back on 2nd Dec but it's not on the site yet.
Toiletries - Tesco have some Johnsons stuff on BOGOF at the moment. I don't know what as we don't need any so I didn't look but I saw it advertised.0 -

angelfairy wrote: »not sure who mentioned it, but i too need to look at getting the slow cooker out, although as LO seems to prefer BLW so i'm not sure what i can do in the slow cooker that she will have. she's not a meat eater so will need to think about that.
How about a vegetable casserole? I made a braising steak casserole on Friday in the SC and bunged in parsnip, carrot and potatoes with the steak, so maybe you could just add some more veg? I used passata as the base and added my own herbs plus a bayleaf. I didn't use a stock cube so then it was OK for Caitlin to have. She spat out the parsnip I tried to disguise though :rotfl:I've decided I need a slow cooker so oh wise women which do I get? (and which is that one from argos to avoid?)
There was one in Tesco for £10 not very long ago.0 -
My_Fathers_Daughter wrote: »MM - what a pain in the arris that is! How on earth did they let you know that school wasn't open til 10? And did they say when you dropped Millie off that they were closing at 1.30? Total crap!workinmummy wrote: »Millies Mum, my sympathies with the school thing. Just as well DS1 school was shut last week, on my last week of maternity leave. If it was this week, think he would have had to come in to work with me.
You have to wait til 8.15 for them to make a decision and put it on the website, we live close to school but I bet some people are already on their way by then.
The closing early was also communicated by a message on the website, after last week I've taken to checking it at lunchtime, they were ringing people but I bet it would take them a couple of hours to ring everyone.
I don't really mind whether they are open or shut I just wish they'd make a decision instead of making a complete hash of things like today.

Moan away!
Is it just the snow and the school or is there anything else you want to get off your chest?
If you are anything like me it is better off in a whinge on here than a grump and a spat with hubby (who usually gets the brunt of it even if he hasn't done nothing wrong!) later.please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

He just walked into the kitchen where I am doing the ironing dancing to Jon Bon Jovi and apparently that means I am sick and need taken away to be well looked after !! Bluming cheek of him
Me doing the ironing would attract that kind of comment here too!chopsticks wrote: »How about a vegetable casserole? OK since typing the above to AF and Sami, I've read the rest of the thread and they've had lots of replies anyway, so just ignore the above!0
