Ben sounds healthy!!
Must admit I got into the habit of ASKING her what she wanted to eat (because everyone likes choices right?) and you are like:
Keira, do you want toast?
No
Do you want a yoghurt?
No
How about some weetabix?
No
...on and on. I find if I just go and peel an apple, slice it up, some banana, strawberrys etc, and just plop it in front of her she will eat it, but give her a choice and she refuses.
Oh yeah, Keira loves those puppy/pony/jungle in my pockets and on the way home from nursery went in by the RSMcolls to get her one, and they had none! I asked him why not! He said that they had all expired because of the jelly beans inside expired in Dec, so he has "written them off" but he said once his supervisor comes in and does the same, he's going to give me them all for free!! There is about 4 big boxes of them....
What will I do with all of those? LOL0 -

Is it just the snow and the school or is there anything else you want to get off your chest?
If you are anything like me it is better off in a whinge on here than a grump and a spat with hubby (who usually gets the brunt of it even if he hasn't done nothing wrong!) later.
You asked for it!
All Eloises activities were cancelled last week and so far 2 cancelled already this week.
Haven't seen any of my (Eloise) mummy friends since before Xmas, am only seeing (Millie) mummy friends for 5 mins here and there, feeling a bit fed up of my own company.
One of said (E) mummy friends is having baby Christened on Sunday and asked me before Xmas if I would go cos she would really like us to be there and said we'll sort it out after xmas, however cos I usually see her 3 times a week we haven't swopped numbers and cos all activities cancelled i havent' seen her (stamps feet like frustrated child, I want to go to the party!!!)
OH's business VERY quiet, not unusual this time of year but still worrying with only one wage coming in and a holiday booked next month and a plumber booked to come and do the bathroom whilst we are away.
OH's business VERY quiet, he is around, he normally works over 50 hours a week, we are seeing far too much of each other at the mo, he is driving me mad,
Need to buy stuff but have no money, tiles for the bathroom, holiday things.
Hadn't booked tesco slot cos waiting to see if mums and tots on, its cancelled but tesco's are booked up (see everything is getting to me now!)
I feel better for putting it down, thanks peeps.I tried the not-fretting road, but how long can you really leave it for? I keep having visions of taking him to hospital with scurvy :rotfl:.
Friend of mine had to take her 3yrold to hospital for an enema over Xmas, he hadn't 'been' for nine days, he only eats chicken nuggets and chips, that said, I do think you should just sit it out, all toddlers do it for a while its about exerting control. Maybe you should look at trying to involve him and give him choices (perhaps not with food, but just so he is having some control even in other areas) you know about not giving open ended choices, yes?MFW Start Sep 07 £79484, Now £587740 -
Feelie, when you're around. Which station are you coming from?
Farnborough. I don't mind changing trains a couple of times, but my Pelvis is quite bad so really need to meet somewhere within 1/2 or 3/4 mile of a station.Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -
Gorgeous pic, just wanted to see it again so I quoted it
Hi all,
Just about skimmed the thread while working today but nothing special to add.
Who has done anything about cot-beds/toddler beds yet? When did you do it? How did it go? Where did you get your new beds from?
Not 100% sure we need to yet, but sooner rather than later I think at least to move away from our current permanent-travel-cot situation to something Elijah can't tip over... and maybe taking advantage of the tail-end of the sales would be worthwhile, dunno!0 -
quick question .. life insurance ... is 100k for 30 years for £7 a good deal?? x
Still searching .....:)

Not had a quote for years SM, is that a compared price?
Buttons, never ask a child an open question, give an option if you want to give choices. Our house tonight, 'teas ready' them, 'what is it' me 'scrambled egg on toast' silence as it's accepted! :rotfl:I'm a cow. But I agree on choices, so beans on toast or scrambled egg would have been ok. (needed to use eggs up);)
Does my friggen head in when OH says to them, 'you want to go to bed then' er no!!!Too many children, too little time!!!0 -
whos that with SM?
I remember getting a quote about 2 years ago, so I was 25 and £100k for 25 years was £5 ish with Liverpool Victoria
so £7 for 30 years sounds quite goodThe two best things I have done with my life
