Ah right, just wondered if there was anything (or anyone!) special in Poole. I think it best to not adjust any plans round me, but let me know where/when and I'll see if I can make it. I'm not able to get to Tower Park, but if it happens to change, or there are any meets elsewhere, please let me know :)

But those of us that drive can help! ;) Would be a pleasure. :D

    Salisbury???
Too many children, too little time!!!

MM - what a pain in the arris that is! How on earth did they let you know that school wasn't open til 10? And did they say when you dropped Millie off that they were closing at 1.30? Total crap!

hehe that is funny as i am sure that is what LO would do also. if i give her a sippy cup of any nature she bashes it around and i have to take it off her before she injures herself. she just prefers a normal cup to drink out of.

will give the meat in the slow cooker a try. anyone done boiled bacon/gammon that way??? as LO liked boiled bacon that my SIL did over christmas.

Tara - salisbury is easier for me (but as feelie says) dont arrange around me as i dont think it's far for me to asking for close places as i do not drive.

I'll be getting the train, and will have LO in a sling, so won't be able to get a lift or a taxi at the other end. I can get a train to most places though, if the meeting place is near a station.

We have a 6.5l Morphy Richards and it is huge but I love it. It depends what you want to use it for really - do you want to cook joints or just small amounts of say stew?
I want to try joints and whole chicken as well as stews and bolangase, chilli etc :D is the 6L ideal for using the BIG packs of mince (800g i think) my casserole dish for the oven can only handle the 400g packs

Sami - I think the OS ladies recommend the Morphy Richards slow cooker and Asda have it on sale at the moment.

Off to make steak pie and pea & ham soup. Hope Holly can play on her own for a short while without getting bored! I don't seem to get anything done. Have been lurking here a bit whilst playing with her.
hmm MR is strong contender! Do you know if its only in store?
Chris said he is going to phone the doctor for me !!

He just walked into the kitchen where I am doing the ironing dancing to Jon Bon Jovi and apparently that means I am sick and need taken away to be well looked after !! Bluming cheek of him :p
whats wrong with that?! I LOVE bon jovi!!
The very best is sometimes what nature gives us for free.

MFD, Mookie, Searching, Sugar - thanks for the sympathies on returning to work. Is not too bad, but could do with a baby cuddle.

Millies Mum, my sympathies with the school thing. Just as well DS1 school was shut last week, on my last week of maternity leave. If it was this week, think he would have had to come in to work with me.

Not sure - I just know they have loads piled high in my local Asda beside some microwaves. Can't remember how much they were, but it was a good discount.

My neck is killing me. I have been shaking my head back and forth to make my hair swing in front of my face as it's had Holly in hysterics! Definitely the best laughs yet. So chuffed he he. We have had short giggles before, but this was full on for ages! I recorded it on my mobile and sent it to OH who was nearly crying in the office lol.

    Still trying to make dinner!

ETA - that looks a good price at Argos AF! It's showing as £32.25 on Asda website but I don't know if that is the same price as in store.

Busy day here. Dropped kids off, went to shop for a cuppa and a toasted scone and they were closed up because of a burst pipe. So DH and I goes in and my dad is mopping away like a mad man. Worked out it wasn't a burst pipe exactly, it was one of the little water heaters in the old staff toilet (which is now closed off because the kitchen is next to it). So cleaned up, decided to open for take aways. Then later another pipe went, this one the one going to teh closed off toilet and that meant the full water supply had to be cut off!

Then we went to asda to get fuel and put air in my tyres, discovered a huge chunk was falpping at the side of my drivers side front tyre. If it had popped neither of us could change it cos the stupid car is so big. Luckily I made £60 odd quid ebaying, but now £47 of that has went on a new tyre. Pretty cheap actually, the last one was £54.

So how is everyone else today? Any news I should know about?

Oh gosh! Wi3adora, THANK YOU!!!! Bracellet arrived today, its lovely!
