AF - I'm assuming MIL knows V doesn't sleep much? I'm sure she'd love to have her for the night sleepless or not, after all it's only one night, she can catch up on the missed bit with an early night the next day

I've decided I need a slow cooker so oh wise women which do I get? (and which is that one from argos to avoid?)

Yeah she knows her very well and would have her happily, it's just my guilt that i would have all the time we were away.

We were given a 6.5L Morphy Richards slow cooker for our anniversary a few years back (cause i kept going on about one after reading on here) and it is massive. i've got on well with it, just not a fan of chicken in it as it's texture goes funny IMO

not sure who mentioned it, but i too need to look at getting the slow cooker out, although as LO seems to prefer BLW so i'm not sure what i can do in the slow cooker that she will have. she's not a meat eater so will need to think about that.

LOL - after I was telling you the other day that Benjamin won't eat meat he sat there yesterday and gobbled down some pork (cooked in the slow cooker overnight) going nomnomnomnom  I couldn't believe it and rushed into the kitchen to grab him some more!!

I now cook all my meat in the slow cooker - beef, pork, chicken - it is all yummy!!

Yeah Specsavers are poo (sorry em :p)

I went there before Xmas to get new lens, and it turns out they had given me a dodgy batch, hence why I couldn't see out of one lens and I was worrying my eyes had got worse, anyways, I was taking Keira to the movies afterwards and she was excited (as 3yo are!) and she has a bad habit of interrupting you because she has thought of something amazing to tell you, anyways the optician guy was like

    "Be quiet little girl"
    "Shoosh!"
    "Excuse me! Im talking!"
    "Rolling eyeballs into brain mode"

Honestly, she was barely saying anything and he wasn't saying anything interesting, more like muttering to himself. Id of loved to poke him in the eye!

Agreed!!! Lo's don't eat meat well as the chewing is too much effort. By cooking it this way it just falls apart for them, and is yummier anyway. X

Heh well mookie, she is clearly going to be a supermodel with measurements like that, tall slim and booooooooootyful :D
  • Anyone know how I can de-ice my drive way? Its a 30% incline and OH managed to get off to go to work, but doesn't think he can get back on safely. I'm totally out of grit, and pretty sure I don't have a spade. Any ideas?

If you have any cats then cat litter is supposed to be really good...

We have a 6.5l Morphy Richards and it is huge but I love it. It depends what you want to use it for really - do you want to cook joints or just small amounts of say stew?
The one thing children wear out faster than shoes is parents ;):o:D
