Well, 16yo did some voluntary work in one for 3 months, but it was never with any intention of a career. Just trying it out and she may go back to it.
Lucy working in one - she has no kids - will that be looked down on - no experience?
Working in a GP surgery, occasionally with the mother baby groups will be a plus for her?
Is the training in house or will she have to travel?
Will these NVQ's be just in the workplace or will it be something she brings home too?
Thanks for any advice.0 -
Really whingy baby here so must go!!!
The peach is apparantly a fair bit lighter than the pear, also I don't like 3 wheelers, so wouldn't want a single front wheel anyway. Oh and apparantly, from reviews I have read, the handle is 'nicer' on the peach!!
I really need to find somw bad reviews!!!!Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,

Harley, concerning the dentist... I have kind of the same problem, mine is upstairs too... I went for a check up when Caitlyn was tiny, I left my pram right in front of the reception desk and lay Caitlyn on my tummy while I was being seen to... There didn't seem to be any other option
No idea what we'll do next time... She's not likely to stay on my tummy again now...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

And Weezl, if you're around? Caitlyn just boffed a touch and it reminded me about Fergie's little problem lol...
If you're concerned then do ask your health visitor (you know this lol) but my neice used to bring back approximately 20% of anything she ate until she was well over a year... Milk and solids... There was no medical reason for it, she was just classed as a sicky baby... My nephew was quite sicky to, just to a lesser extent...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... The older ladies I encountered had thier own children, the younger ones didn't. A lot were also ladies who got into childcare after working with the elderly. I never noticed any lack of respect to those who aren't parents.
Any experience with babies, kids or parents is a good thing!
I went to college one day a week, I think this is the standard thing. Lessons and work at college, and observations at work.
There was supposed to be research and homework for college, but if someone is reasonably bright, they'd be able to do most of it at college. I completed the two year apprenticeship in 8 months (decided I wanted to get married instead!) and didn't do any work outside of the classroom. The work was very, very easy.Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -

Well, Lucy is 28. I consider her youngYounger than me anyway
Is that one full day a week and was it immediate after starting?
She won't have any issues with the work, she's very intelligent. I hope she wouldn't stop after 8 months and want marriage though
Thanks for the help.0 -

It was a full day at college, and four full days at nursery. It was a fulltime apprenticeship so perhaps things would be different with part time work. I know our preschool ladies had to find holiday work as they were required to work fulltime. There might be more self study if it is just an NVQ - I did an NVQ, and about a dozen certificates.Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -

It does sound different as Lucy will only work 15 hours a week and in term time only. Not worried about the loss of income as still better off than 4 months ago by some distance. Maybe if she can get a part time job, she can do her crafts the rest of the time.
Definitely NVQ's involved, but i'm not up with NVQ's, but need to be with the kids reaching that age.
Thanks for all the help.searching_me wrote: »motm im more of a give it to me straight kinda person i like to know what people are thinking rather then being to soft to tell me incase they upset me x
I think I am too, but it's more who says it to me. If someone here or someone I didn't know called me a winker, i'd laugh, if Lucy called me it, i'd probably be hurt, if the girls called me it, i'd fall over in shock0
