You'd love Bavaria - it's totally normal here and many pubs have children's play areas inside and outside.

The first trip outside Molly made was for a checkup. The second, third and fourth were to beergardens :rotfl:

I would now like you all to drop everything and click here, then feel very envious of me.

Just in case anybody doesn't know me very well, the comment about going to the pub before I picked the baby up was a joke...

...I always take the baby to the pub with me :D

Baby always comes to pub with me as well

Karen I am having some problems BF at the mo but finding that mixing BF, EBM and odd FF is helping as it was getting me down as well..... my OH keeps telling me not to beat myself up about it as so far done 4 weeks and when he worked on a farm they always made sure the calves had the first 2 weeks milk before they changed so I am doing really well apparently!!!

I am finding though that William takes the FF better and always seem to bring BM up after feeding ( no so EBM) any ideas why this may be ?

Ladybird that's where BIL is getting married - and we're going!!!

I'm currently trying to find the week-long trip cheaper than £29something - but even that's a better rate than the one the happy couple have organised.

Maz, does he bring milk up after a breast feed, but not so much after a bottle? Could be Forceful Letdown. Do you get a big spray if he latches off mid-feed?

  • Very interesting! Can I ask about the transition from formula to almost completely breastfed? Did you have to pump a lot to increase supply, or did LO do it himself? Did you ever find out why he wouldn't latch? How long did it take him to latch? I expressed for about 4 weeks but kept putting LO to my breast but he would put my nipple in his open mouth and then scream because nothing came out. He then worked out that he had to close his mouth and make an effort :rotfl:. Since then I now put him on my breast and then when he has a bottle I express to try and increase my supply

Don't know if you know my story, my LO couldn't latch at birth, and I had to express for 8.5 weeks until he learnt how! I didn't know your story but wow, well done you, that must have been so difficult :A

I agree about cup feeding, it was just so messy, and I got so upset at seeing my milk running down his chin instead of into his belly! My feelings exactly

You are right to be proud, that is an amazing story!
    Thank you :o

lol about the comparison to calves. Its true tho, I know I shouldn't worry about it so much but still end up crying thinking I'm a crap mum that can't feed her daughter!

tegan seemed to be sick a lot and the HV said it was the gulping down of breast milk so EBM flow into baby's mouth is more controlled so not sick as much. I know my milk sometimes gushes out so much she cant handle it!

Can somebody please explain baby clothing sizes to me again? (I'll come back and read the replies in a short while!) Are they "up to" the size stated, as in Asda Tiny Baby is upto 6lb and Early Baby is upto7.5lb? And how baggy are baby clothes meant to be? He's now 7lb and vests still seem to fit, but babygros aren't long enough in the arm?

I know Jillie - I was in floods watching it :(

Hammy, you're doing so well :)

Karen, it can take a while for everyone to settle down into feeding, but what i'd add is that my monster will not entertain the bottle for a second, so if you ever want to miss a feed you might want to introduce one before Tegan gets past the point of being flexible enough IYSWIM :)

Edit: aless, I'm pro pub, so long as it doesn't have blaring music and obligatory shots :)
