GISI - Hi, I was just flicking back and wondered if you had got back OK!
I braved the snow on Tuesday with Jack in the sling but didn't dare go yesterday for his jabs as another 3 inches had fallen!
How cute is Henry in his Bumbo!!!
Jack tries to escape his by flicking his bum up in the air - don't think I'll be leaving the room while he's in it. It looks like he's about to fall out the back!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

To continue the weaning discussion, we also don't know if Andrew shows interest in our food - breakfast is eaten on the fly; lunch is eaten when he's having an afternoon nap; and our evening meal is eaten after he is put to bed upstairs! But he does wrinkle his nose when he smells us cooking dinner, particularly the Christmas dinner!:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

glam- its hard to know what to for best with weaning when all the jars/packets say 4months, some books say 6 months. we know best!! lol!!! Kian hasnt gone for food yet but prob cos we try and wait till he's asleep to have ours. but i do see him watching us eat and drink. think i'll try and wait unless like Jack he is really showing signs of wanting the food.
It 'says' not before 6 months but definitely nothing before 17 weeks so I say anything between 17 weeks and 24 weeks is OK if they are showing signs they want it. I know that Jack is due a growth spurt which is why his bottles have been increased, after all the other day I was moaning he was barely taking 5ozs and now he's draining 7ozs bottles like there's no tomorrow and is having an extra bottle a day. If it continues like this and his feeds become more frequent than 2.5hrs then IMO he needs more than just milk.
I have got my little pots ready for making and freezing stuff in ice cube size trays. ASDA had a load of bowls and snack pots reduced which can go in a steam steriliser so got them while they were on offer. I also got sent some vouchers from C&G but I plan to use Baby Rice then fruit and veg and just use the ready made pots for out and about and for food I don't like - fish especially! Most stuff will be homemade thoughA very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

weaning is always a tricky one, but i do feel with this its definitely the parents decision. I'm not going to rush to wean as some do (no-one on here, in RL) because the child has reached 4 months (or 3 months as i also have been told by the mum herself). i know kian has gotten hungrier this week as last week he wasnt finishing 6oz now he's guzzling 7oz, but he doesnt need the food aspect quite yet.'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0

i was hoping to get back from ireland before we needed weaning which would make him 6 months. if i need to do it before hand i will.
kinda thinking the little ice cube things are too fiddly. but i will see how you get on first!! lol!! you can be my guinea pig.'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -

My friend started weaning her LO before Christmas - I think he was 13 weeks. She said it was because he needed it but this is someone who has been trying to get her baby to sleep through since he was born and was so glad when he started feeding every 4hrs cos she was 'fed up' of doing it every 3. So I know exactly what you mean.
I kind of wish I hadn't posted anything about it now TBHI'm sure I'll get slated for starting at 20 weeks but if its what Jack needs then its what he'll get. OH and I have discussed it and it's something we are taking very seriously and will only do when he needs it. I may get to 20 weeks and decide actually he doesn't want it - I'm just taking each week as it comes at the moment!
