Lala - His PS3 isn't backwards compatible anyways, he has the 40gb version not the 60gb. The head office still haven't phoned me back to arrange pick up, give them till 3:30 then I'll phone the manager at Game and get him to sort it :p

Tia - Glad your hubby is okay :)

Bruno - Sounds like your OH is depressed, I know everyone spouts that, but I felt that way about Keira when she was an infant, I couldn't wait to hand her over to OH when he got home from work, I clock watched the whole day, and when she wouldn't nap/stop crying it just made things 100X worse.

I know Elijah is older but perhaps it's been going on since birth?

Must admit once I moved into my own flat away from my mum I felt 1000 times better and really started to bond with her. She's my best friend now.....well maybe not because she is feeding the cats pancakes ....

Hello all - I've been "told off" for not posting ;):D

Had a really good Christmas. The day went well but my Dad wasn't very well so my parents went around 6pm-ish rather than 9-10pm like they usually do. We just put jarmies on and chilled out and I liked it much better than other years :o Had Craig's family over on Boxing Day. His Gran is fighting cancer and said she had no appertite but she scoffed loads of my home made food. It was good to see her tucking in and she had a really good time.

Then the next day she blacked out and fell and has been in hospital until last night. Apparantly she has had a series of mini strokes which could be a side effect of the radiotheraphy or just one of those things. She's home again now and sounds positive. Will have to pop over with the bairns and see her.

Brother and family came up and they were arrogant and rude with both us and my parents. Had a good chat with my parents about stuff though and we've decided to just ignore the things he says.

Ended up having a mad New Year. We put Charlotte to bed and watched a couple of films with the boys, then put BBC on for Big Ben and the fireworks. We just stuck a music channel on after that which was playing party music and somehow we ended up drinking and being silly until 5am :D

Hope everyone is ok in the snow. Had about 8 inches here, but have been managing to get out and about for work.

Jack has had his injections now, so he's been out on his first walk yesterday and again this afternoon. He loves it and he's pretty good, but we need to do a bit of work on recall's and he's got to learn not to jump up at people.
Here I go again on my own....

Ooo I bet your OH has had a job and a half this past week!

    Yep sure has.

Quick question: any of you that BF lying down in bed at night, i've fallen asleep while feeding and then end up with wet sheet from leakage... any tips?
Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.

For some reason, my milk bleached one of my sheets! I used to put a towel down under the sheet to protect the matress, but I just rejigged my position to make sure I didn't press on my boob too much. Or a folded up muslin. My leaking settled down quite well, and the only time I get it now is if I'm holding LO.
    Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.

Bruno - Sounds like she is having a hard time with him at the moment...I agree with weezl's understanding approach.
In her e-mail she mentions something about early to bed?? Maybe a nursery/childminder would be a good option even just two half days a week as it is the need to get them out the house and out of your sight, not just having someone to 'help out' or even take over while you are still there iykwim...

I also had the violence from ds1 at about 2yrs old, I used to have to physically restrain him as he would go mental, I would be in tears and he would be screaming and thrashing about, trying to headbutt and kick me, it was a terrible couple of months but it lessened over that period and then stopped.
Kai is driving me mad with his whinging today, it is going right through me now especially as he had me up every 2hrs through the night...all dh does is stick his flaming headphones in so he can't hear it:rolleyes:
Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.
  • I had a read through before I put the children to nap and can't remember what I wanted to say! Hugs to all in need xx

Bruno, could E not go to nursey one or two sessions a week? Would DW be agreeable to this? I get the feeling that she craves some 'me' time and she thinks she will get it of an afternoon/evening but then gets angry when E doesn't go to nap/bed as planned. I adore my children but I need time to recharge and be just me and I get that 2 afternoons a week when my parents have them. And Poppy talks non stop about when she is going to nursery next! I know it will be much higher in your area but where she attends is £19 for either 8am-1pm or 1pm-6pm.

    xx

Just catching up briefly inbetween ILs visiting and DH's best mate over for dinner (NOT my idea). Best mate is a nice enough guy, I'm just not in the mood for visitors twice in 1 day and feeling totally cooped up in house due to weather. Thing is, if best mate doesn't come tonight he won't get to visit for about a month as my dad is flying in on Sunday for 3 weeks and our flat cannot handle any more people - so rationally I know it's best he come tonight, but the irrational part of me just wants to tell him to booger off :p

Absolutely dying for my sling wrap to come in the post, then times like this morning (where I got NOTHING done as Finn just wanted to be held for hours on end) will be in the past. He's an angel, yes, but my fingers itch when I can't housework done! :p

    /self-centred post

Hope everyone else is well today! :j
